Days of Future Past Days of Future Lounge

Hugh Jackman was on the week before Tarantino. That was a great show. Graham had Hugh lead the audience on one of the songs from Les Mis (which John Bishop rushed in and draped his coat around Hugh to stand in for a flag or something).

On a side note. If they ever do John Constantine on the big screen again (and hopefully not a sequel to the sub-par Keanu film), I think John Bishop could be a good choice for the role.

Not even sure if Singer wants to give his take on Gambit. They didn't include Gambit in the first movie because they thought his personality is very similar to Cyclops and Wolverine which I don't think is true. Gambit is chill and less serious compare to those two.

Yeah, but SOMEHOW he appeared in the Wolverine movie and everyone was just fine! :whatever:

But I'm seriously okay if Singer doesn't use Gambit. I kind of suspect he has something against the character anyway.

Michael Fassenbender on Graham Norton next week!:awesome:

Haha Cyclops & Wolverine are so different that being like the 2 of them would be quite unique in itself. Anyway I agree & would love to see what they could do with him.

I don't know, James was on a couple of weeks ago and I think the only mention of X-Men was when Norton introduced him as "he's played in this film, this film, and this film...". No mention of DOFP was given.

Fassy's been shooting a TON of films this year, and depending on who the other guests are I'm not sure they'll have time to cover DOFP. Especially if his answer is going to be just as vague as we've seen from everyone else, like "it's going to be fun" or "I'm looking forward to working on it". I don't watch GN regularly but I get the impression that it's more about asking guests about projects in production or post-production or that are about to hit theatres, rather than ones that are still in pre-production stage.

I had no idea we had a lounge here.

I'm making a Fan-Edit of Origins and I just wanted to ask what scenes you guys would have cut out and why. :)

Here is my suggestions on reediting if possable

cut dialogue saying weapon XII Is "Wade"
Cut Xavier walking scene meeting young cyclops and other young mutants.

Deadpool.

So shoehorned in. It should have just been a movie about the events surrounding the Weapon X procedure. Actually, the real question is, what scenes wouldn't I cut.

Keep the actual procedure, the storyline with Kayla (to an extent), his rivalry and history with Victor and Stryker. Maybe the history about Team X. Although it was cool to see familiar mutants Stryker had been testing on, it too was shoehorned in for the sake of cheap shocks. I'd keep it more centered on Logan (I know, isn't every film centered on Logan), so do away completely with Wraith, Blob and Gambit.

I've cut out the part where he says "Wade is that you?" to Weapon XI (the second time sounded like "Wait!" so it kept it) but story wise, I don't think I could cut out Gambit or Wraith.

I can try to downsize their roles however.

So far I have cut--

- When that guy wouldn't move his truck
- The Moon Story
- "Save my sister, Logan!"
- "Wade, is that you?"
- Professor Xavier

Overall you can try to lessen the campiness and self importance of the film and keep it nice, dark and gritty as it should be. But it's your creation, have free reigns.

I'm trying my best. It's kinda difficult because of the sound mostly, as when I cut a scene, I have to make sure the sounds don't make it looks choppy (if that makes any sense)

I don't know what I'm gonna do when I'm done though! :oldrazz:

Any suggestions? lol.

I liked the Moon story.

:oldrazz:

I thought that scene was kinda cheesy, but that's just me! :)

They never should have made XO:W. Wolverine's origin was handled fine in X2; there was no need to flesh it out into a film. If they had to, they should not have hired the guy who would go on to write the incoherent A Good Day to Die Hard.

I can't regret Origins, I got the Gambit I wanted. :)

But he wasn't a perfect Gambit by any means...

Origins is the worst of the X-Men movies, I don't entirely blame Gavin Hood, i think he was inexperienced at Fox blockbusters and was micromanaged to death. i wonder what film he would have made if left alone?

I dunno, I thought it was fine for the most part. The only thing I thought was wrong was his exit from Weapon X was too clean, nowhere near as bloody as it should have been, not even as bloody as was hinted at in the second X-men. But Gambit was fine for what he was. :) And Liev was really good as Sabretooth.
