I think Singer will leave it off to the next director after 2016 having put the stamp on this franchise. Not sure what happens to the young cast they bring in. They are going to have to cast young to make McAvoy's Xavier look like a believable father figure. But clearly, I can't see them recasting McAvoy's Xavier if the plan is to move forward with the rest of the young actors in Apocalypse.

Xavier was fine as a mentor in FC, I think he can pull it off again.

He still has to go bald and McAvoy said he wanted to make Charles bald with good reason, so that's one last thing he has to do in the chair. Between McAvoy's age and Stewart's remarkable health there really is no need to recast another Charles, and I sure as hell don't think we'll find anyone better than those two.
