JER ruined a great show. Hopefully Sheffer can bring it back. I stopped watching the first time after Marlena was possessed by the devil, and stopped again about a year ago. I can't even remember all the reasons - horrible timing (people must be able to teleport on Days), excessive SORAS [Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome] (EJ should be 10 years old, not trying to impregnate Sami!), and redundant, predictable storylines (gee, Sami is getting married - again! she's lying to hang onto Lucas - again! she wants to screw over Kate - that's original!) I do love Frances Reid, though; it will be so sad when she goes.

Sami lying to Lucas this time was different because is wasn't her choice, like all the other times. EJ threatened her. Either way, I'm glad they're finally married and Kate can just shove it.

Not exactly. His original name was John Black Jr. His parents are Susan Banks and Stefano. Susan (played by the same actress as Kristen Blake) believed the father was Elvis, but it was Stefano in disguise Stefano hired a preggo Susan to impersonate Kristen since Kristen had a miscarriage. Susan would sell Kristen the baby when it was born. Kristen had to hypnotize John Black (who is and always will be in love with Marlena - gag) into having sex with her so she could say the baby was his. Susan wanted to keep the baby after he was born and ended up locking up Marlena and Kristen; Marlena eventually told John Kristen never had a baby, Susan did. I forget what happens to everyone after that, but EJ shouldn't even be a teenager yet, let alone humping Sami.

Stefano returned today... YAY!! My favorite character. Bart and Dr. Rolf. The same person who plays Dr. Rolf also played the bum on 'Night Court' who helped Dan Fielding (John Loroquette) pull off some of his trickery.

This family feud between the Brady's and DiMera's started just because of a woman... WTF!! There better be a very interesting story behind this or this is a very lame cop-out

It's actually unneeded. Back in the day, when Sefano first came onto the show he was a crime lord. Roman and the Salem PD were trying to bust his crime ring. Thats how all this started. I think the writers are just trying to make it seem deeper and more interesting.

So, DOOL has always been my sister's favorite and we've spent a lot of bonding time with the show, but I've got to say when they got rid of Kirsten Storms (that's how imdb spelled it) and replaced her with the new girl, that's when I started to lose interest again. I hate the new Belle I think she's terrible. Anyways, my sister moved out like 6 months ago and is visiting this weekend, and asked that I dvr days so we can bond over the weekend. DOOL brings families together.

I love the new Belle. As much as I love Storm, the new Belle is a far better actress, and looks more mature. I think she looks a little more like Deidra Hall too.

See, I don't think she's a far better actress, and while I'll admit she does look more mature, and there is SORAS, but I mean she's like 30 years old. That's like 6 or 7 years older than Storm, so I hope she looks more mature.

She does look more like Deidra Hall though, but I'm pretty sure that's not a prerequisite for this generation. I mean Will, he doesn't look like anyone to me, just looks like some kid wandered on the set from the touring group outside.

Haha, totally agree. Will is uhh, special. If Sami and Lucas weren't so young, I'm sure they would of aged him by now.

Now someone I can't stand is the new Shawn. He's okay, and a better actor than Jason, but I miss Jason so much.

Yes ok the new Shawn is pretty terrible. And really, I think I'm able to handle the bad acting on Days, but the look really matters to me for some reason, and that guy does not look like Brady to me. You know when they said there was a new Shawn I didn't think it mattered much, until I saw them and then I realized I didn't mind the old Shawn at all. I don't know he just felt like Bo's son to me.

Jason Cook reminded me of Bo. NuShawn reminds me of Hope. They both have those sunken in cheeks and pointy nose. Granted, Hope was quite the little chubby thing when she was younger.

Ok I can handle Phillip because I mean the other one even though he may have been more hunky (I can't speak to that) I totally remember him from Real World, and he always bothered me as a person, so I was never able to take him seriously on the show. All I could ever remember was him flipping out on one of the girls because he didn't want his future career in 'politics' to be affected.

Roman totally took me by surprise that he let Nick go and said that he was gonna throw the hairbrush in the dumpster, he never bends or breaks the rules of the law. Goodbye to the character of Willow Stark, never really liked her.

The thing that chaps my rear the most is that they recast that craptastic punk as Phillip. I much preferred the other guy.. so hunky.. better actor..actually looked a bit like Victor etc.. not such a whiner and he had more than one facial expression hehe.

I know, he was such a hunk. And, he LOOKED like a Marine. This Phillip looks like he's playing dress up, he's so tiny.

Love or hate the character, Stefano always brought a suave, kind of charming sense to whatever he was doing, criminal or otherwise. I think that what makes him an ever-lasting character and the show just can't forget about him. Stefano IS the main bad guy of Days of our Lives, forget the rest of the DiMera family, cuz without Stefano, there would be no criminals worth tuning into the show for. Yes, Tony and EJ are GOOD, but Stefano is GREAT.

I watch this show every now and then because my mom watches it along with Passions. I can really only take one ep every once and a while because they have some decent characters and some cool history... The dialouge and writing is usually horrid, plus some of the stories just get so hokey... Especially on Passions wiht that serial killer dudette... Glad to see Stefano back, I remember wehn he left...
