DBZ Raging Blast 2...well hell DBZ games in general

Oh, no way... Looks like Raging Blast 2 is going to have all of Cooler's henchmen and even Vegeta's little brother Tarble.

Holy crap probably going to have the best roster yet.May have to get this sooner then later. Also for a minute there I thought we were seeing tag action but it was just #17's super move.

Speaking of Tag, here's a new Trailer.

The Demo is also up on PSN. Sadly I lent my PSP to my sister's boyfriend.

Damn that looks pretty sweet too.I'm gonna download the demo tonight.

Wow, Tarble?

Didn't see that coming.

Now all we need is the two what-if characters.

A gameplay video. Not the best quality. Shows a bit of Tarble though.

I really love the additions and changes to the combat. Makes it all feel even more like the Anime.

Oh, and nearly forgot. A new trailer for "Plans to Eradicate the Super Saiyans".

*Edit*

More gameplay. Can't wait to get my hands on Cooler again.

Played the Tenkaichi Tag Team demo. It's pretty cool same controls as always.I actually like palying 2 vs. 1 more then tag. It's pretty badass beating up on two fighters.

Does it play well? For example, is it easy to switch between targets? And which characters were selectable in the Demo?

Playable characters are Vegeta,Goku,Krillin,Piccolo,Dr.Gero and Android 19.It pretty much plays like all the other games in the series.Switching is pretty easy as all you have to do is press the R button.Moves as always are simple for example a Kamehameha is simply L+Triange.Unfortunely there are no transformations in the demo.

So, how does the whole ascending and descending work when L & R are already mapped out? Or did they ditch that?

A compilation of all Ultimates and other special moves shown so far.

Raging Blast 2 intro.

The music was put on top of it. So don't get confused that you hear tons of punches out of sync. It's a cam vid and otherwise you'd only hear background noise of people walking around.

Really nice but who's the villain at the end of the trailer??

That's Hatchiyack. A character from a 17 year old OVA. I think those cutscenes were part of a game, where you could simply choose different paths your characters would take, and the game would simply show cutscenes accordingly. It's the first time after 17 years that Hatchiyack reappears in DBZ media and also will be playable.

It's crazy that every time a new DBZ game is getting made they find someone else to put in these games. It's to the point that all the henchmen and the obscure characters will be in it. I'm still gonna hold on for the farmer that challenged Raditz with a 5 power level.

That's right, he was character used in one of the DBZ games for Playdia, I cant remember the exact name of the game. And like you said the game itself was nothing more than selecting which path you wanted your character to take, so there was always a good outcome and a bad outcome depending on your decision.

Finally got the chance to test out the Tenkaichi Tag demo. I think I'll get that game. It's basically Tenkaichi in handheld form, plus the Multiplayer option I've been asking for years. I'm only pissed at the lack of Cooler. :argh:

Additional Movie characters will without a doubt be included in the sequel.

I have to say no cooler sucks.I like him better then Broly.

A lot of characters are missing. I'm honestly not surprised. Even when the first Raging Blast got released on PS3/360, the only Movie characters you had were Broly and Bardock. Now they actually appear in Raging Blast 2.

Raging Blast seems to have everyone worth being in a DBZ game.I'm glad I didn't get part 1 and waited for 2.My ex did get me Burst limit for like 15 bucks but the roster there was pathetic.

Ha, Hatchiyak came and ruined everything, love that.

The Raging Blast 2 Demo is available on the European and Japanese PSN. Xbox live probably too. Anyway, it's pretty fun. You should give it a try. I'm definitely getting it now.

Well the game comes out on Tuesday, and no sign or hint at any new what-if characters or transformations.

Guess that means there isn't any, right?

IGN.com just posted their review:

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/113/1131571p1.html

Not too surprised by the rating, and from what I've read, most other gaming websites seem to have a similar opinion. As much as I love the Dragon Ball series, these fighting games have gotten extremely stale. Wish developers would branch out and do something that's not fighting related. Maybe an RPG for example.

All I care about is that I have fun with it right now. Now I only have to figure out how to freaking unlock Cooler.
