DC Announces Vixen Animated Series set in CWverse

The series expected to come this Fall, and it will feature into the worlds of Flash and Arrow. The project is being shepherded by Arrow's Marc Guggenheim. It's only on the CW Seed which is the CW's digital only station.

Interesting idea. Good way to expand the scope of the Arrow/Flash universe without having to do a ton more investment.

I've never heard of this character before, so color me interested. I wonder why they've chosen to go the animation route since, based on what I can find on the character, there doesn't seem to be much about her that wouldn't work in live-action.

This is good news I love the animation style. Hopefully this means that a live action Vixen is on her way to Arrow or Flash.

^ That would be a nice way to promote the animated series, but I don't see it happening this season unless there's a way for the writers to do some rewriting without screwing up their narrative flow.

She was part of the Suicide Squad before joining the JL. I wonder if they'll venture there. Maybe have her as one of the first SS members before she reformed.

Maybe it's something we could see on Arrow/Flash if they bring her over to the live-adaptation world.

I'll watch it but any costume that has boob pockets loses massive points for me. It was bad enough seeing Jim Lee's absurd Catwoman.

Well, I can honestly say I wasn't expecting this - especially an animated series. I'll definitely be giving it a chance, wondering how well it will mix with the live-action series.
