Can any tell me the reading order of DC Countdown with all it's mini series?

Yeah, that order would be don't read that s**t.

Yeah, unfortunately Countdown was pretty awful. If you're wanting to prep for Final Crisis, really all you need to get is DC Universe Zero.

I was hoping that most of the internets were just *****ing for the sake of *****ing when it came to Countdown, but I bought the first trade and rapidly lost interest. I was expecting much more from Paul Dini, but his writing staff was less than stellar and the story itself just felt very unneccesary. Frankly, the only thing that came out of Countdown that I'm still interested in is Salvation Run.

Seriously, save your money. Don't read that s**t.

Seconded. IMO Countdown #33 is THE worst single comic issue ever produced. And that's saying a lot.

The reading order is HGNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGHHHH

Nah, just the art was horrific. There were FAR worse issues of Countdown.

The story wasn't that great either. Kyle Rayner just shows up to save the day with absolutely no explanation as to what he was doing there.. Which wouldn't be all that bad till you consider Donna Troy and company were in another freaking dimension. And Kyle just happens by? WTF?

But I concede that there may have been worse issues of the series, I just stopped reading it with that one. Used the $99 I saved to buy video games.

I just want to know what the reading order is. Whether it's good ao bad, that i'll find out my self. I already have the issues and mini series and would like to read them in proper order. So can someone either tell me the order or please put up a link that will take me to a website that has the info.

Thanks

You poor deluded bastard. Start at 50 and read to issue 1. You'll figure out where everything else goes on your own. And may God have mercy on your soul.

Sigh.

Like Anubis said, start from 51 and go to 1. The miniseries tie-ins have no reading order at all, and they all happen vaguely around the halfway point, before issue #20 or so.

Have fun.

Hey BW, shouldn't you be telling him Countdown is awesome because of your RAGING DC BIAS that makes you say that everything DC does it awesome, because you're so BIASED for it?

I thought that was Aristotle that did that s**t.

Oh Brian's flown under the radar for a long time now, but fortunately we have intrepid internet muckraker GNR to out BW's slanted favortistical bias vendetta in favor of DC comics.

...In fairness to Tottle it's not so much bias in his case as he just openly objects to everything that Marvel, philosophically, represents.

I mean I can't blame a guy too hard for having principles.

That's what I wanted to know about the mini series. Thanks a lot BrianWilly.

haha, I know, right? I really want to know what he thought of it though! btw, happy new year!

Well he hasn't posted in three years so you may never find out.

I read Countdown, it was garbage. 52 was crazy awesome. We need more series like that.

My lord this thread is old, lot of great posters were still around these parts in 08.

52 was the real deal indeed. I hope Dc's next weeklies will be as good.

Well they had Brightest Day and that was ok but 52 was just gold.

what made 52 so great, imo, is how the different writers manage to work together, creating a big storiy with several little arcs.
