Countdown: New Weekly Series

Actually, it would be the Source's Order side. Chaos/Order. Yin/Yang. Not necessarily good/evil just methodical/bats**tcrazy.

And yeah, the New God are a failed experiment as far as the big G.O.D. is concerned. on to the 5th world or whatever.

I don't know, found him quite charming. Bit of a screw up but, hey, nobody's perfect apparently.

Yeah, I don't give a **** about Black, Blue, or any other color of Lanterns. I think Johns' influence on GL has made it kind of ****ty. I read GLC and that's enough for me.

Sinestro Corps has been the only good DC storyline of the past year or so and this Black Latern storyline has so much potential with resurrecting deceased characters and making them villians. It has on paper, good dynamics.

Yeah, that bores me. I don't want to potentially see Superboy or Ted Kord come back as an evil space zombie. It's dumb. But to each his own.

Ha, no. There are plenty of superhero comics I enjoy. Johns' Green Lantern just isn't one of them.

Barry and Bart Allen as Black Lanterns.

With the "dead coming back", it's pretty much safe to assume some dead A-listers and popular B-listers coming back to brawl.

I don't see why the Black Lanterns would be full of dead superheroes. Especially ones without any connection to the GLC.

Translation: "We're so very, very, very sorry about Countdown."

I mean, it doesn't even have the same name anymore.

I doubt they're the slightest bit sorry for Countdown. Quite a lot of people still seem to be buying it, regardless of how much it sucks.

DiDio himself has admitted that it has problems. Y'know how much it takes for any person in the industry to admit anything, much less a problem?

Yeah, but it was universally reviled before that. He didn't stand to lose anything from admitting that problem. He knew as long as Countdown was plugged into everything else in the DC universe as heavily as it was and still is, people would buy it even if it were grade-A horse****. Such is the folly of the fanboy.

I'd be willing to bet that DiDio would've just gone right back and done it again with Trinity if he thought he could pull it off again. But he already had 'em hooked with Countdown. Trying the same crap twice with a new series that fans aren't already invested in would be riskier.

I'm feeling very cynical tonight. :o

Yo, why you gotta keep reminding me?

Because it's important to remember that the vast majority of your peers are idiots.

Yeah, it really is. It's kind of sad to see BKV verbally wank Whedon like that. :(

And it's bull**** too, since BKV is only like 13 years younger than Joss Whedon.

Is this ***** still in High School?

Joss is like 44 while BKV is like 31. I'm not sure when Joss Whedon broke into the industry, but it wouldn't have been long enough for BKV to be all like "He's awesome, I want to be a writer!"
