DC FanDome 2.0 hopes?

Black Adam has been shrouded in so much mystery that I think, behind The Batman and The Flash, I'm most curious about that one.

Black Adam is just gonna be Dwayne acting like himself for 2 hours anyway.

I’d like to see footage of Keaton.

Where’s the schedule at for Fandome??

Hopefully Reeves talks for 7 hours. A poster would be cool and a dope trailer.

I wonder if they're not releasing a schedule so they get people to sit through all of it lol. It's 1-5PM EST (the site says it runs for four hours starting 10AM PT). I'd say The Batman is probably going to be last 45 minutes or so

How's this for a shock announcement?

The Batman release date pulled up.

Doubtful and I honestly don't want that, given Reeves' slower post production pace. I'd much rather wait for him to make this into his magnum opus rather than him getting rushed. If he wouldn't be despite a date being moved forward, great. But he definitely seems to prefer to take his time

The Batman obviously. Even if it was this trailer only, I would be happy.

It's about time we get news about the TV show as well. Maybe cast and the premise?

Really curious about the new animated show, hopefully they will have stuff about, a teaser maybe too much to ask for at this point, but a poster/cast news would do nicely.

Finally, Abrahams better reveal some of the stuff he has been working on. Constantine news, please. Some update of the rest of the JLD stuff would be nice too.

So, I am guessing that there won’t be a Fandome in 2022, which is a shame because DC content sounded like it was sparse at SDCC.

I'm pretty sure Ezra Miller wouldn't be nut, DC would have had a Fandom this year.
I mean, there was certainly enough material to hit hard with The Flash movie being the main attraction. Keaton's return and Affleck's final goodbye are already enough to make headlines. Then, there's Supergirl, which have the marketing potential to be its own event.
But the water is too muddy. And without that movie, the studio can't really talk about the rest since it's supposed to introduce a new status quo. They can't say much about Batgirl per example, though that movie is also completed.

So what's left? Maybe an Aquaman 2 teaser, a Blue Beetle featurette...
But the rest would probably just some awkward salesman moments, making some vague announcement in front of a green screen with a rushed visual or two.
It's clear WB is currently rethinking their approach to these licenses anyway. Some would say they're even forced to. Better to be quite than appear embarassed.

I could've sworn I read something saying that a FanDome is still planned though

Doesn't make a difference to me either way though seeing as there's nothing from the ReevesVerse that'll appear lmao

Same.
As far as personal preferences go, I'm a Batman fan first and foremost, and even then, with such a rich history, certain interpretations have set a framework around my expectations of the character and his universe.
My interest in other superheroes is really marginal, and I have to admit that I am not at all conservative about them. At the risk of sounding like a bit of a snob, I feel like it really takes a real author's take on them to get my curiosity piqued. So pretty much the complete opposite of the main approach today with all those cinematic universes...

I have a passing interest in most other superheroes but the DCEU is in such absolute shambles rn I don't even wanna touch it with a ten foot pole

How tf are they not doing a Superman movie lmao

I have more interest in other characters than in Batman right now. But for Ezra Miller’s meltdown, DC on film would actually be in pretty good shape. WW and Aquaman have had solid outings. Shazam was a good setup. James Gunn’s Suicide Squad was excellent, as was the Peacekeeper series. I’m incredibly excited about Batgirl and it’s terrific cast and everything we have seen from Blue Beetle looks good so far. Black Adam could be fun, with Justice Society actually making it on film, with Aldis Hodge as Hawkman and Pierce Brosnan as Dr Fate being inspired castings.

Then, on tv, Superman and Lois and Stargirl have been such fun shows.

Maybe I am being a little Pollyanna about the situation, but I think DC on film is well situated.

Batgirl might be cool. Have no interest in anything else from DC.

It seems alright but nothing about it particularly jumps out at me as being interesting and it's connected to the rotten onion that is the DCEU

So...eh?

I just think it’ll be fun seeing Barbara and Jim together + snowy Gotham + a certain somebody chewing the scenery as Firefly. Trailer might be cheesy who knows.

Im just curious to see Michael's return and Brendan's Firefly. I am always open on seeing a batman villain we've never seen on screen. Other than that I have no interest whatsoever in the other DC projects. All my attention is set on Reeves' universe :word:

All cbms appeal to me in a different varieties, I love the MCU stuff for a lighter tone, I loved The Batman for being my personal perfect Batman Film. I thought Shazam! Was great and am excited for the sequel. I wanna see Black Adam for the JSA, they're all not for everyone but I can see the appeal in most of them

Not that they are bad projects, they are just simply not for me and I think for most of you neither. I enjoyed that when I was a kid and a pre teen. Now I'm looking for more personal stories, sometimes as you grow your taste changes but that doesn't mean grown ups shouldn't like it.

Deadline made it sound like it’s happening later this year, but then again, they’re the ones who kickstarted the Henry Cavill rumor, so who knows…

I mean, last year’s was in October, so there’s easily still time to make an announcement.

Even if there’s nothing strictly for the sequel, there’s still space for The Penguin news, The Caped Crusader, and any other potential spin-offs that are ready to go.
