No, we gave them a chance and we all agreed they suck.

Uhm, no it didn't.SouLeSS said:Marvel's "The Thing" sold well and was still canned.

Green Lantern said:I don't see Checkmate getting cancelled as its one of DC's most popular titles.
SouLeSS said:Just to let you know, ASB/R and ASSM, as well as Blue Beetle, Hawkgirl (for the most part), Nightwing, Robin, Outsiders, and Shadowpact have been outselling Checkmate.
Darthphere said:No, because its at DC. And its still in the Top 100, once it falls out of that we'll talk. And like I said before, it sells well according to the numbers of issues its printed. For example, She-Hulk #8, the CW tie-in, sold out, completely, and it was only in the low 40's sales wise that month.

SouLeSS said:How can you argue with the numbers when both Marvel and DC have both axed comics that have gone this way?

DC doesn't do it as often as Marvel, and actually care about what their fans think. When Manhunter was about to be cancelled, many fans (myself included) wrote in, and that saved the series. I'm willing to bet that the same thing would happen if Checkmate were on the chopping block.SouLeSS said:How can you argue with the numbers when both Marvel and DC have both axed comics that have gone this way?
OH MY GOD, and DC can only print 8 titles!?!?!?!SouLeSS said:Just to let you know, ASB/R and ASSM, as well as Blue Beetle, Hawkgirl (for the most part), Nightwing, Robin, Outsiders, and Shadowpact have been outselling Checkmate.
Darthphere said:Firestorm and Manhunter sell worse than Checkmate, and Manhunter was just extended after facing cancellation.
SouLeSS said:Firestorm and Manhunter didn't lose almost 20000 copys sales wise within the first six issues.
