I know I'm in the minority here, but I enjoy the DC/Marvel crossovers. I was wondering if anybody knew about anymore coming soon or planned? I think I have them all up to the present. Thanks for any info.

would be so cool

spider-man in gotham city

hulk goes to metropolis

marvel sux tho

There is a 99% chance they are never going to happen again. I attended a Q&A with a comic writer and exec from DC, and he was asked if there was going to be another inter-company crossover, and he said no, as they are not profitable. Couple in with the fact that comic sales have been declining and the super-hot hatred both companies have for each other, and one will realize that The Dark Knight Returns has a better chance of becoming primary canon, than Marvel and DC working together.

Best moment in the last JLA/Avengers.....Superman knocks out Thor

" ....but in my world it looks like the dials go up to eleven !" POW.

of course then the five most powerful Avengers dog-pile on Supes, but

it doesn't matter, because he's already proved he's still the top dog.

(I'm not really a Thor fan, plus it's tough to take Thor seriously when he's
meant to be a Viking God but has not beard or body hair, he's just too pretty).

of course if you're a Thor fan, not a great moment. Again, just IMO.

More importantly now Marvel is owned by Disney and DC by Warner bros so they'd each have to clear it with their parent companies and worry about it affecting possible perception of movies yadda yadda.

Man, there was about a 20 year stretch where Marvel and DC did at least one crossover once a year.

I miss that. :csad:

The JLA/Avengers books were great. I was never crazy about the other crossovers though. Most of them were pretty bad. Although the DC vs Marvel/Access books were alright.

Yeah I like that one where Superman uses Mjolnir and Cap's shield.

As for Marvel vs Dc, why they needed a Jubilee/Robin fling instead of a 12 page Captain America/Batman fight is beyond me.

Marvel vs DC combines awesome with awful.

The Hulk vs Superman fight is fantastic and earth-shattering as it should be....

...while Storm vs Wonder Woman is the lamest fight you could imagine. Wonder Woman kicks Storm, Storm fries her. That's all.

yeah i also dug the Marvel/ Dc team ups! they were always good to see for me the best part of the JLA/ Avengers team up was this

while everybody else is duking it out you have the two best strategist/ tacticians agreeing that this is all Bull^&* and instead of fighting each other till we collapse! why no go after the real guy behind all this crap! that was just soo cool and done without any real fisticuffs!

Yo people. What about DC villains v Marvel Villains crossover

Does this warrant a thread of its own, or should it stay in this thread ?

I keep seeing images for this sort of thing but I don't think it's ever happened
for real.

I've noticed in the past that suggested match ups often have Marvel beating DC,
but then again, they neglect some of DC's most dangerous and powerful bad
guys.
Any suggestions for match ups. These are ones that would be close, (so
not one sided, like Thanos vs the Penguin or the Darkseid vs the Mad Thinker)

So far I've got

Ultron v Brainiac

Loki v Black Adam

Sinestro v Magneto

Doomsday v Juggernaut

Darkseid v Thanos

Lex Luthor v Dr. Doom

Black Manta v Attuma

Superman Prime v Gladiator (not really a villain, but usually a jerk)

Anti-Monitor v Galactus

Cyborg superman (or General Zod) v Apocalypse

Deathstroke v Sabretooth or perhaps Deadpool

Joker v Red Skull

Bullseye v Deadshot

I think all of those would be pretty even, although I admit Loki v Black Adam
isn't a great one, as Loki would probably out-fox Adam pretty easily.

really struggling to think of good match ups for Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin
and Reverse Flash. Would welcome suggestions.

Opinions welcome, I know some of you don't like "vs" threads, but
am genuinely interested in other people's opinions, especially when
I disagree.

cheers.

We have various vs threads already including some in the Marvel comics section.

The JLA/Avengers, IMO, was by far the best. I'd really like to see Marvel use "The Defenders", maybe, and DC use ??, in a crossover. BTW, are the titles DC & Marvel put out jointly profitable? If so, wouldn't that factor in?

I've also wondered, has DC & Marvel ever put out other crossover products, aside from books, like maybe posters or toys?

Loved JLA/Avengers. There may never be a Marvel/DC crossover again, if not, at least they can say they went out in one of the biggest ways possible.

:funny:

Best line ever. I also enjoyed, "A god, you say. A small god, perhaps... Of a small world!"

Totally dude. Whenever some Thor fan is spouting off about how
Thor can throw Mjolnir faster than the speed of light, or fire his "God blast" or shoot lightning out of his ass, or some other ridiculous stuff that Thor can supposedly do, that always puts a smile on my face.

I don't hate Thor, I just hate that people take a really simple concept
(strong guy, magic hammer, God of Thunder) and add a whole bunch of
unnecessary crap to it.

It's just so satisfying when Supes knocks him out. If only we could get that in a movie someday.

What made me laugh at this part is that after Superman did this the whole Avengers team was so shocked by it they tried to take Superman out all at once and still couldn't get the job done.

That's right... you're in minority here.

Dude ! I am a huge DC fan (much more so than Marvel) and while I think Batman is the coolest, this panel is kind of dumb. It would be like Captain America knocking out Superman. I don't care how strong or skillfull
Batman is there's no way his most powerful kick would feel like anything more than a mosquito to the Hulk - who's been hit by Thor and not knocked down.

Superman KO'ing Thor, sure no problem, but this is just silly. A great moment for Batman fans, and Hulk haters though.

Cool you posted it, as it's good to look back on all the Crossovers.

Which brings me to my favourite......besides the Superman v Thor thing
in JLA/Avengers (still puts a smile on my face).

My other favourite cross-over, X-Men-Teen titans, simple-but engaging story and incredible artwork ( I owned it back in the Day but gave it to a friend, wish I still had it).
It was truly awesome !

cheers.
