Its probably been debated here a million times but im new so i would like to hear your favourite comic book publisher and why. Is it the characters the artists? which storys from each stand out for you and which characters are the ultimate and most interesting of each company which has the best heroes and villains?. I now the answer of many will be Batman/superman/spiderman/xmen etc but though these posts are welcome try to include some of the more obscure characters the sign of a good company is having a strong character line up right through the ranks.

No, not "probably". "Definitely". So use the Search function and spare us all from another grudgematch/bloodbath.

DC .. i find marvel a bit to camp.. while DC has a darker feel to it

Not why you dont like one or the other what you love about your favourite.

DC. Marvel's great, I like the books they're putting out even more than DC's, but if I had to give one an edge, it would be DC. Simply because, for whatever reason, I've always felt more comfortable, knowledgeable, etc. with their universe as a whole.

My favorite is the one with the good stories, characters and entertains me. So I guess thats like Dynamite, Image, DC, Marvel etc.

Don't be such a politician.

I refuse to answer such a question. It changes from week to week.

DC.
No real reason.
Maybe if Joe Quesada wasn't an ass, I'd be more inclined to side with Marvel.

I never got that argument. What does Joey Q have to do with the quality of the writing and art of the books?

Nothing, really, but he's the face of the company.
Or, more appropriately, the ass of the company. :o

I'll DC the edge. In the 90's I found Marvel to be unreadable. In the 80's both companies where putting out incredible stuff. At Marvel you had Clarmont/Cockrum then Byrne on X-Men, Simonson's Thor, Millers Daredevil and Secret Wars, at DC you had Wolfman/Perez on The New Teen Titans, Legion of Superheroes was a great read, DK and Watchman, Year 1, Byrnes Superman, Perez's Wonder Woman and Crisis. God what a great decade for comics, my favorite.

Marvel. And Leaguer agrees. Seeing how he's part of my legion and all.

DC, cause it's mo bettah. :o

Mostly I guess it's cause DC is what I grew up with. My Dad got me into Batman, then BTAS came along so I've stuck with DC. I do like Marvel though. Cap, Wolverine and Spidey mostly.

Marvel

Just the way it's been my whole life since as early as I can remember

DC, i have been a fan of Batman for years. I like marvel too, but Batman is DC's trump card.

Traditionally I've always favoured Marvel, but only recently I've really understood the roots of superheroes and how they work (basically, that they are there to save people from disaster and perform incredible feats, rather than engage in their own battles with superpowered enemies), and in that manner the DC characters work better.

DC, because I'm a huge Batman fan and active reader of alot of their other titles. I love Marvel too though because I read USM and ASM.

I dunno. I'm pretty even on both, but I guess I would say DC mainly because of Vertigo.
