Spolier warning. To ask my question I have to mentiopn some things that have happened in the books so far.

I just stumbled onto reviews of this series at the Homepage. It sounds so good I am going to purchase the books.
Question - how closely does this follow the Fractured Future video game.
The cinematic trailer is awesome and brutal with Luthor killing Superman with a K spear - driving it all the way through the ill-fated hero.
Then there is a a scene with Lex from the future warning Supes, Bats and WW that they will be killed and Brainiac will take over everything.
One miss - in the comic Batman doesn't die. He is saved by meta-humans.
I'm reading the comic so does this future scene apply to the books where it is not shown? One review I read says it does and that will explain the resolution of the series.
So it sounds like it may be Lex will at least try to get the heroes to help him change the past so the grim future presented so far does not happen.
Also, the cinematic trailer says that initial battle scene is not in the game play.
So does the game reference that Lex has killed Superman and WW is dead? And many other heroes. oIs the premise baically the same?
It's a great read but quite brutal. Supes is left dead on the battlefield for several days with a K spear completely through his bdy and when he is found he's hastilly buried in a makeshift grave.
The big downer in the book is that Superman meets such an horrific end. Ironically Luthor comes to see that Superman wasn't his enemy but only after Superman is dead. Although with this future Lex stuff maybe, just maybe........
