Dead Space 2

Wait, the Valor was a rescue ship coming to save the day right?

If by rescue you mean kill all survivors/destroy the Ishimura then yes. I remember Twitchers dodging my stasis shots.

I hate that Isaac wont be in this as i really liked Isaac as a character in DS2. Cant wait tho, this looks great.

Those guys int the video are really lame tho.

SILENCE. :argh: Giantbomb's a damn good site.

Anyway, I don't know about this DLC. Most of what they showed was recycled material which is a bit of a bad sign so early in the game. I don't really care about Lexine and Gabe THAT much to plunk down 7 bucks.

Anyone else think that Dead Space will eventually reach Earth?

Definitely. They can only use the space ship/station/colony motif for so long. Plus the original Black Marker was found on Earth, its only a matter of time.

Yea it may be a good site, but those guys were still lame.

Yea i dont even know who those people are. Im just hoping itll give kind of a different perspective. One thats less about "destroying the marker".

I dont think they'll go to earth. I mean Earths resources have been depleted and id assume the Sprawl is one of many space stations inhabited by humans. I guess its possible, im just not sure they'll go there and if they do, id assume itd only be for a brief time.

I bet that something will happen to where "Once the Red Marker was found, the Black Marker on Earth was activated..." or something. I mean, Issac is my bro and all, but if he goes to Earth and saves the day, they will have jumped the shark so badly.

As hard as it is to say this, Issac needs to die.

One of the big draws for Dead Space is the fact that it takes place in the middle of space, cut off from damn near everything. I think setting it planet side would kill that feeling they established in the first 2 games. Im not oppose to visiting earth tho, but only for a brief time.

No i deff dont think Isaac needs to go any where. He's a great protagonist and has really only established himself in one game.

he got got!

I know what you mean. :o

Yeah, he just got a personality (best one I've seen in a video game character in years), but one can only do SO much. You know?

Ultimately I think the third game will be about finishing off whatever markers are left, and if that does prevent a widespread infection of humanity, I don't think I'd have a problem with it. Like others have said I don't think it would feature being on Earth for a long period of time if any.

But yeah, I'd for once like to see a video game character sacrifice himself for the greater good.

We deff need more of Isaac, not less. Dude is just getting going.

I wouldnt be opposed to Isaac and Ellie forming some kind of organization that sets out to take down the church of Scientology Unitology, similar to what Snake and Otacon were doing at the start of MGS2. With the Ishimura incident and Sprawl incident, its time people realize these markers are bad ju ju.

No, to be honest, I really don't know. They've barely done anything with actual personality-infused Isaac at all

Dead Space introduced us to Issac
Dead Space 2 gave him his personality
Dead Space 3 gives him his exit.

Personally, between Unitology, the countless space military corporations/governments and Necromorphs that are after him. He can't run and fight forever.

Master Chief already did that. :/

Chief didn't have to sacrifice himself at all, at the end of Halo 3 he was acting to save his own skin. It's not like he had to willingly kill himself to accomplish an objective.

THAT'S WHAT I WANT. :cmad:

Actually I think what would be neat is if you visit a sort of megacity platform in station over Earth, larger than Titan with things like streets, buildings and environmental zones and such. I can already picture Isaac trudging through an artificial forest filled with necromorphs.

It would make some sense with Earth's current ****** status that at least a sizeable part of the population is living in orbit rather than on-planet.

Last 2 or 3 chapters Isaac needs to plunk down to Earth to deal with the Black Marker.

His exit doesnt have to be him dying tho.

Yea that could be really cool.
