Dead Space 2

Dead Space introduced us to Issac
Dead Space 2 gave him his personality
Dead Space 3 gives him his exit.

Personally, between Unitology, the countless space military corporations/governments and Necromorphs that are after him. He can't run and fight forever.

Well, honestly, I don't consider DS his real introduction. That's just a faceless nothing that kind of staggers around like a puppet on strings. To me, Isaac isn't really introduced until DS2.

It'd be kind of cool if another alien life-form came to Earth and was somehow infected/attacked by the Necromorphs. Maybe they could have something to do with the Black Marker.

Would introduce new characters, monsters, weapons, tech..etc etc etc.

Yeah, I can agree with that. I wonder if they did that on purpose?

No. After what the dude has been through, let him find a nice space station and retire in peace.

Going through what he goes through, there is no "retire in peace". Dead Space 2 is proof of that.

So, the DLC that hits tomorrow... I read that it takes place right after the events of Extraction.

So... not that I WOULD play it before I finished DS2... but if I did, I suppose it wouldn't ruin anything from DS2....

Maybe...

Haha yea, maybe death is his best option.

Yea i believe it takes place parallel to Isaacs adventure. There are no spoilers, but you might miss a few things have you of not of completed DS2.

I made a mistake in buying umpteen million games all at once... now I'm completing them one at a time. I'll probably restart DS2 because it's been a few weeks since I played it.

Haha iv done that before. Yea you need to finish DS2, its amazing.

Soooo, Severed is awesome. It should have been $5 but it's still worth playing unless you're planning to buy something else soon and don't wanna throw money around.

It only took me a little over an hour on Normal using only the default weapons, even though you can use any weapons/armor in the DLC packs if you bought any or the hand cannon if you beat hard core.

There's a part where lights are strobing and I really wish they put that in the campaign somewhere. It would have been amazing taking down waves of the pack with that kind of lighting. Twitchers are friggin scary and as if things aren't confusing enough you'll be even more confused by the end lol which shocked the hell out of me.

Sweet. Downloading ASAP.

Also didnt realize how much DLC i need to get. Im getting Severed, the MvC3 DLC and the Fable DLC

Seeing how I've barely cracked the surface of DS2... I may hold off on the DLC for now. Maybe it will be a PS+ deal of the week by the time I'm done with 2.

...That, and Vagrant Story is on PSN as well.

Pretty good piece of DLC. It'll prob be better for those who are familiar with Gabe and Lexine as i had no knowledge of them prior to this.

I like in Severed how it plays as more of an action game than Dead Space 2. It gives it a fresh different feeling than the main game. 7 bucks is a pretty good price, its that happy medium where 5 would have been too great a deal and 10 would have been screwing us over. The little story is great and the new suit with the orange eye piece is great.

Agreed.

The only thing that disappointed me was that there werent enough "clues" to Isaacs adventure. I would of liked to of seen more "Isaac was here" type items and what not.

But yea i loved the suit Gabe was rockin.

Should have grabbed DS2 on the PS3 as Gabe is the main character of Extraction.

Yea I know but I don't have a Move and I'm not gonna play an on rails shooter with a pad.

I'll play through it at some point tho.

Ah, cool. I'm actually going to pick up the DLC I think. If there is next to no mention Isacc I should be safe from spoilers... as I'm actually going to play and beat Extraction before restarting DS2.

Yea there are no spoilers other than the fact ull visit the same area Isaac does and see the same enemies he does. But this story is all about Gabe and Lexine

Of course they're making Dead Space bigger and better! LOL

Dead Space 2 was bigger and better than Dead Space.

Off topic a bit, does anyone here watch theRadBrad's Dead Space 2 Let's Play! on YouTube? It's so good!

I trust Visceral fully.

I was one of the people whining when they said they were going for a "faster paced" title prior to DS2 releasing. DS2 couldnt of been more brilliant.

Visceral certainly knows what they are doing with the Dead Space franchise, I for one hope that it is bigger and more epic as long as it has the quieter character moments and the scare the **** out of you moments. DS2 was a pretty big and epic game but yet what do I remember the most. My encounters with the stalkers and when Issac falls to the ground when he is accepting his fate. I'm already looking forward to DS3

Visceral, to me, is like Bungie, and EA is like Microsoft.

If that makes any sense~

Agreed man. There were some awesome, mind blowing action pieces and some great 'quiet' moments as well. The pacing truly was worked on and it showed. I can't wait to see what's in store next.
