I highly enjoyed this TPB! It's not the greatest story I've ever read, and the artwork is mediocre, but it's a great, simple story that anyone can jump into. Very accessible, engaging, and most importantly, The Joker is written beautifully. Great little moments that give us the quintessential Joker we know and love.

A lot of people view this as a "sequel" to The Man Who Laughs, and I think I agree. The events of Dead to Rights take place immediately after TMWL. When viewed this way, it makes the story even better.

Definitely recommended, and I'll go as far as to say that it's criminally underrated. 8.5/10. Great stuff!!!! Has anyone read this puppy?

great read indeed. Far better than those awful joker origins in the previous episodes of Batman Confidential.

Good info! I had that book in my hands a few times and never could bring myself to give it a shot, because, firstly its from the mostly atrocious confidential series, and secondly its drawn by McDaniel, who I really cannot stand, BUT if you say the story is good, than that should be good enough. Will check it out in the future. Thanks

I don't quite like Batman confidential myself, but this one has some great moments. I would also highly recommend Batman confidential 39, which is a one shot, and a very good one.

It was pretty good.

The next arc with Batgirl by Giffen was awesome too...but I think that's out of print now.

Exactly how I felt. Cool to hear that this book has some brownie points. Now I'm just mad that I've passed it up in the bookstore twice...I'm a die-hard Joker fan, but I also didn't want to buy a TPB that I wasn't going to like. Buying it now 'cause of you people. :)
