Pokémon It's the Pokémon Thread

Those “wild areas” in the city are going to have to be huge otherwise it’s gonna be pretty boring in the city when it comes to catching Pokémon.

I suspect the point of the wild areas in the city are to not push Game Freaks technical prowess. As we saw with Scarlet/Violet. They will likely be decent sized, just a lot of buildings blocking line of sight, letting it load less.

Failing upwards as always. :o

That's a neat idea.

I've done Pikachu and Gengar as Valentines boxes before for the kids. That doesn't look much more difficult. You're right though the size means inflatables or a projector for Gengar though.

I feel Legends ZA's battle system should have been used in Scarlet and Violet. It seems like a natural progression for the series. I also wouldn't mind them bringing back the feral Pokemon mechanics. That was exactly the kind of boost the games needed.

Yeah Scarlet and Violet with the map being what it was did feel like it needed something in the way of a better battle mechanic.

I'd kind of like it if they tie it to Pokemon Go though so you can import Pokemon similar to the Let's Go games. Catching is fun, battling is great, and the story/mythology is why I keep coming back. Grinding out Pokedexes is part of it but a little help from Go now that there's over 1000 would be nice.

Niantic is laying off 68 employees shortly after selling its video game business to Saudi-owned mobile publisher Scopely for $3.5 billion.

The company said the deal would allow it to refocus on the geospatial AI business with the formation of a new company called Niantic Spatial Inc.
