The ozone layer stops x-ray and gamma radiation from hitting the earths atmosphere but UV rays are so strong that the ozone layer is only able to filter some of it but as it thins out due to golbal warming more and more UV rays come down on earth. Now, lets think logically, you said you had drapes in your house, not window coverings, if the ozone layer cant stop UV radiation what makes you think your cheap drapes will? Fact is, comic books should be stored in dark dry places to keep them safe, and to a further extent your comic books wont be damaged due to a couple of months of a UV bath but prolonged exposure will, all we did was give you some advice on how to protect your comics and you decided to be an ******* about it, do what you will, because youre right its your money and if you dont want to protect your stuff thats your problem not mine.
