Infinity War Deaths in the film SPOILERS

It's a possibility. I dunno, personally I kind of even prefer the notion that they were wrong about it, and that the stone did provide the consciousness, and that Vision's toast.

But that's me. :oldrazz:

All I know is when Thanos stabbed Tony I was worried. Even though I knew in the back of my mind he’d be back it still felt too much like that was it. Glad I was wrong.

Gamora’s death surprised me the most.

Of the pre-snap deaths, I really hope they somehow bring back Vision. We haven't even seen a whole lot of him ...I'm so bummed about his death :csad:

Everyone's dead! What a morbid film. Im sure most will be undone.

All the other deaths mean nothing in comparison with Gamora. It is the one they absolutely cannot change because it makes this movie work.

I expect the dusted characters to be back but also expect more important deaths in part 2 saving Spider Man, BP, Strange, Quill, etc. The death of a IM, Hulk, Thor or Cap will be a bigger deal for the story and universe.

My money is on Iron Man. His death would be Spock in Wrath of Khan or Vader in RotJ levels of impact on cinema history. Maybe the Boromir and Aragorn (Cap) of the MCU in terms of 'dust in the eye'. A fitting bookend for the first phases of the MCU.

Gamora's is the one that needs undone the most because it was an insulting way to kill off her character.

I'm leaning more towards Cap dying in the next one than Tony now actually.

Exact opposite for me, actually. There are now so many narrative red flags about Tony's demise that the only way I can see Cap dying instead is if this is another Hawkeye/Quicksilver switcheroo.

Seriously. The entire scene where he talks about having a baby with Pepper? He might as well have said "I'm only one day away from retirement."

Agree. I think Tony is going to try to sacrifice himself somehow, thinking he's the only one who can be trusted to do it, and Cap is going to beat him to it and do it for him at the last second.

Tony has Pepper and the films have been hinting at his need to retire for like, 3 movies. Cap has almost no personal life to live for, and feels guilt for lying to Tony about his folks. My bet's on Cap.

I doubt Gamora is permanently dead. James Gunn will probably want to continue using her in his Guardians movies. The only way she is really dead is if Guardians vol 3 takes place between Vol 2 and Infinity War. An inbetween sequel/prequel.

Surely they’re setting up Nebula to replace her? It’d be far more interesting.

I thought it was an incredibly powerful and meaningful death. It was the most important of the movie, and a pivotal moment in Thanos’s character development. I really hope they don’t go back on it.

She's probably 100% dead. Not just because of the narrative weight, but Saldana's availability. Zoe's shooting 4 AVATAR's back-to-back, so it's highly doubtful she would be available for GUARDIANS 3 anyway.

I think Stark will get and deserves a send-off retired life with Pepper

Not so sure about that. They already did that twice already and it didn't stick either time.

I don't think there was any subterfuge with the baby talk....I think Stark will actually retire at end of 4.....and unfortunately Cap will die.

I can see that happening....but hope not for my daughter's sake. She got real upset last night when Gamora died.

Gomora has to stay dead otherwise it will cheapen the whole thing

Bringing back Gamora would cheapen IW and the brilliant scenes between her and Thanos. It would cheapen the stuff with Quill.

Gamora should be dead dead. Her well shot death scene is better than anything they'd do with the character in GotG3.

I sort of agree. The pre-snap deaths should be preserved. I am not 100% sure that they will, but I think they should from a narrative PoV. They picked the right characters.

I think Loki and Heimdall will stay dead. Both characters have seemingly run their course.

Gamora... I'm not so sure about. On one hand, you have the heavy weight that it'll put on Quill for character development which should be interesting. But then again, I have doubts because she's shown as a child at the end talking to Thanos so that makes me think her resurrection might be key in defeating Thanos. I'm guessing that her soul is trapped in the Soulworld via Soul Stone like what happened to her in the comics...

Totally forgot about that. Think I was introduced to that through one of the cartoons.

The infinity stones have brought characters back to life in the comics and it certainly isn't something outside of the realm of possibility in the movies.

I'm not sure Avatar will be a issue. We have no idea what the size of her role in the sequels is and what Saldana is available to for depends on her contracts. These big franchises usually sign principle cast members up for multiple movie contracts.

I think none will stick. In one trailer, I think it was Black Panther that said, "We don't not fight for one life, we fight for all of them."

It's Disney.

My guess is that everyone who turned to dust will be back (I mean, Spiderman has to come back right?). Everyone who died before will probably stay dead, but some of them could come back.

Didn't James Gunn say something on Twitter about all the Guardians returning for Vol. 3? I was sure I saw that a while back, but I can't find it now. I'm not sure if he was using clever wording or not.

If Vision was truly playing the Adam Warlock role in this version of Infinity Gauntlet, then he will be back.
