Decades of Sexual Harassment Accusations Against Harvey Weinstein

Serious hypocrite, yeah. Big difference between the inappropriate groping and what Weinstein did, though, and somewhat more understandable from a younger dude probably completely under-equipped to deal with fame and an older guy like Weinstein.

So how many years until Hollywood inevitably brings Weinstein back into the fold since it's what they do? Consider, Cosby's still got an outpouring of supporters. Mel Gibson is directing and even starring in Daddy's Home 2- which in itself is an odd decision- and the list continues.

Someone pointed this out earlier: Cosby and Gibson are performers who despite their awful actions are still good at what they do. Harvey's ability has always been producing ie. being able to raise money. He's going to have a very difficult time doing that now.

Yeah, I think he's done. The world also seems to be rapidly changing for the best with this type of behavior, I don't see it being excused and forgotten in x-years. And more importantly, as said above, he's not going to be able to raise money because he's become an absolute cancer

Some celebs have now accused Ben Affleck of knowing about this before but acted like he just found out about it recently.

Call me cynical, but I still feel like at some point, even if he'd have to walk on glass and eat tons of crow, he'd eventually worm his way back unless there was a completely unified front. Or if he just fled altogether and did his work abroad like with Roman Polanski and Woody Allen.

I'm not sure that's true. I don't want to get too into politics but think about who the US president is.

Trump supporters clearly had/have no problem with his behavior, but I don't think that will apply to Harvey. In fact, had Trump supporters acted the way the people around Harvey are acting, he'd never have become president. And again, Weinstein's job is raising money, I don't see how that happens going forward. We're also are talking about this, obviously, at the outset. Who knows what the complete fallout will look like, in say, 3-4 months.

Getting idiot Trumpsters to follow you isn't the same as getting super rich fat cats to invest in your name when it's toxic sewage.

The cynical in me is thinking that if Weinstein produces a top notch movie abroad, he'll be welcomed back with open arms.

People don't really boycott movies. We're too self-serving for that.

Why is everyone assuming Europeans are just dying to give Harvey Weinstein money after all of this?

I hope this is true, it's so disgusting how this sort of thing in the workplace just keeps happening. :(

And cue the fanboys making excuses for Affleck. Apparently that was an "accident" on his part and "nobody cared" when it happened.

It's not out of the realm of possibility. Any business that welcomes Victor Salva back to the position he used to sexually exploit a child is capable of anything I suppose.

Lots of guys having these kinds of "accidents" lately.

Usually when somebody has a scandal here they flee to another country where the myth is that the rules don't apply to them there and they're more open minded and ****. But I highly doubt many other countries aside from a select few are that cool with harrassment.

It's gross. And it's really the whole picture not just this accident. Casey, McGowan saying he knew and now this video

It's where he's reportedly headed. But okay, then, why are you assuming non-Americans are all going to be lining up to give him money?

Not all countries give a **** about this sort of thing. Hell, in China, people walk by car accidents on the daily because they can't be bothered to help someone out.

He's probably banking on the lower profile aspect of being in Europe, it'll likely receive a lot less coverage.
