Definitive 80's Songs

crap i can't think of many good 80s songs right now.my mind is totally blank.

let's see if i can describe some of the songs i love.
there's two songs from rocky 4: one is when rock is driving his car after creed is killed and the other is when he is training in the snow.

um...DAMN thats all i goddamn remember.

The bigtgest album of all time came out in the 80s. It was Michael Jackson's Thriller.

When the video for Thriller came out it was played once an hour every hour for two years, and it was a half hour long. That means that for two years during the the early 80's 50% of Mtv air time was Michael Jackson.

throughout the 80's it was referred to as Must Watch Mtv, because many families would gather around waiting for Michael jackson videos to come out during the Bad era.

We can not pretend that MJ did not dominate 80s. Well he dominated 90s too, but not like he did the 80s.

Did he though? Because I don't think he really had any memorable music from the 90s.

In 1991 Dangerous sold a whopping 30 million records. Customers were waiting outside for hours to get first, second, third, 10,thousandth in line to get their copy before the first shipment sold out. Black or White debuted on Fox, ABC, and MTV simulatenously and all around the world.

Remember the Time was an incrdibly huge and requested video. His dangrous tour became the biggest selling tour in world history. Knocking his previous Bad Tour to second place. Jam, Heal the World, and Will you Be there were all huge hits.

After the child allegations his History album was a 45$ double CD which sold a whopping 18 million copies, 36 million discs. That tour also became the biggest selling tour in wolrd history knocking Dangerous to second place, and Bad to third. He won video of the year for Scream. You are Not alone was the first single ever to debut at number one on the overall charts. EarthSong was one of the most requested music videos of all time, and the most requested that year.

And in other countries his Ghost movie was increibly huge.

Nice

Good call on "Batdance". However, I hate to be a technacality *****, but "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" was not an 80s' hit as it was released in 1979.

Oh, and thanks for liking my list.

Iron Maiden-Number of the Beast defined the NWOBHM, and is a definite 80's classic.
