I guess u could say that ive waited almost 25 years for a Superman toy that represents everything that superman should stand for and im still waiting. Now the 1st dcd multi jointed Superman looked great "at least in the pictures" but when i went to buy it they had cut the midsection to add more poseability he went from beening tall and lean w a six pack to match, to short and stubby w a 4 pack now mind you i still bough 3 of them as well as sevral others from the superman line . But im still waiting for THE SUPERMAN toy. Alex ross justice toys came real close but i want a Sman that looks some what realistic and iconic at the same time same with Batman. Anyone else out there feel my pain ? comments and pictures would be great

I'm not to interested in poseability and such so for me my favourite superman figure is the one from the last son series thats based on kubert's artwork. It seems a lot of people aren't crazy about it but I think it has the best face sculpt of all the superman figures IMO. One thing about superman is that they literally release 5 or six every year so I'm sure they will produce one that you like eventually. I'm still waiting for a great looking flash figure but it seems like he is one of the harder heroes to get right.

Well, I'll give you my favorite 3...

i liked the red son superman and the infinite crisis supes too..

I don't remember what IC Supes looks like, but RED SON was cool. Not "definitive" cool, but a sweet looking version of Superman.

Alex ross supes (Justice) and All Star Superman supes are my favorite, but lack articulation. The only real problem with them is that when displaying my DC direct figs, All Star Superman is a little smaller and Justice Superman is a little bigger. I really like the pics of the Ed Benes Superman, but I haven't seen one in person.

The problem with the DC direct figures is that you have to be careful when moving their arms/legs since their so fragile plus you get that oily stuff on your fingers.

The best Superman for me is still from the Super Powers collection of the 80's.

This is not a joke I'm serious but the best Superman toy of all time for me is the one from Burger King series of toys based off Superman The Animated Series...the one where you can balance his chin on a little Daily Planet Building...that's the definitive one for me...had him for years and never got another one till I went to my first comic store when I was 17......awsome...
