Deleted scenes

very true...

the mpaa was prob. gasping in horror:cmad:

I don't really see the problem with that scene. It didn't seem any more violent than the other Phoenix scenes that made it in. Seeing someone get demolecularized up close vs from a distance = far more violent? WTF?

lol my little 9 years old cousin loves the x-men movies, but i told my uncle to not let him watch X3, although he loved X1 and 2. He did such a drama that his parents allowed him to watch it. The next three nights he couldnt sleep afraid of the Phoenix. :p

I did tell his parents that i had watched the movie and some scenes were scaring for kids, specially those who show Jean as almost dead and black eyes.

in one of the featurettes we got to see the filming of Storm and Xavier's balcony scene(it didn't appear as a deleted scene but we got to see a snippet of it being filmed on a monitor) It looked like a great scene, Storm says something like "In the African village where I grew up we suffered great droughts....I created rain, I was worshipped for my gifts. Here I have to hide those gifts"

Have I missed something? :wow:

How come nobody else has seen this scene? Is it on a featurette on the DVD?

Ouch :o I guess it was like watching the Exorcist for him
yeah, poor him who used to love "Jean Way" (the way he says her name, he's Brazilian and can't speak English)

Wow. I loved the extended phoenix scene. That was amazing. I loved everything about it. I can kind of see why it was taken out. I'm sure some little kid wouldn't like too see a close-up of a soldier, in pain, as he's about to die. It is a bit graphic. I loved it though. We really need an extended version of the DVD, with some of these deleted scenes in. But the way Ratner is, grrr. Probably not. Oh well.

We got 40 Full, 20 Wide (our DM believes that people don't rent WS) regular editions for rent. We got about 5 each regular for sale, and then 5 collector's editions for sale as well, since we never sell too many copies of anything.

To clarify, I live in NJ. The regular edition, which is exactly the same as the disc included with the comic in the Collector's Edition, includes all 21 deleted scenes, and then the 3 alternate endings.

Your store is very different than mine. All we're getting is the Widescreen of just the regular edition, about 75 for rent and 19 for sale.

yeah but fox werent the ones who deleted the scenes, ratner was

Fox had to be behind the reason why the original X-Jet entrance scene was changed. On the commentary it was said that it was changed because Iceman was the dominating character in that scene... which was changed to accomodate Wolverine...

it's pg13 in Brazil, so i guess they could easily put the extended on theaters. It had nothing that we didnt see in other takes from the same scene.

problem is on those (my uncle and aunt, for example) who go with their kids.

A lot of these scenes only help the minor problems. I like the extended fights and such but really only the alternate endings, using all of them together would have helped the movie. I like the Logan scene, it makes more sense as an ending since apparently he was the focus of the trilogy. Plus Wolverine is great when he's not trying to fill someone elses role, and why oh why did Rogue's ending get switched, they knew it would upset fans. And it's not like they think its whats best for the story because they went with the god awfull Magneto one which basically just made the whole movie amount to nothing.

Still the movie sucks too hard to be fixed by just a few extra goodies. I really like the other Phoenix stuff, the cure gun part in the forest sucked IMO. This new scene is much cooler, and the extended destruction rocks. If only Wolverine would have been cut up more.

The most annoying aspect about this movie, is it is so obvious how it could have been so much better.

Wait a second.

So the US Region 1 disc has all twenty-one deleted scenes? :wow:

^ Thanks for posting that! Now if she would have said, "I am Phoenix" and then raised her arms with the firebird effect would have been PERFECT!

Not again with the confusion of the number of deleted scenes. I swear to god...someone keeps contradicitng one statement after another..I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE....lol

well we will all find out this tuesday..

the psychic voiced is actually very cool and would have added even more awesomness to that scene. The only thing though, she should have said "I am Pheonix" after xavier says dont let it control you and it does a close up of her face.

Tell me about it.

I think I'm just going to wait a day or two and let the majority of people here buy theirs so I can see what's what.

It's the best (and easiest) approach to all the weirdness.

Ah, I was kind of disappointed with it. The voices seemed to be so flat / awkward and we didn't hear the noise from the other fighting but maybe some things got messed up while encoding the clip.

yeah, we'll all find out officaly on tuesday lol but i do wanna know what to expect when i get the dvd, i rather be disappointed ahead of time then be suprised disappointed with only 10 or less or whatever number deleted scenes

speaking of the voice battle, it would of been so awesome to see finished and in the movie. Phoenix calling herself the Phoenix seems a pretty important element for the movie, since the only referance we got from the name was only by Pro x that ONE time. the should of kept this scene in.

meh to both scenes. they were both good but not good to the point where it improves the movie the whole lot. The delivery of the "psychic voices" from both actors was not very good either.
