Ohh yeah.
If they stick to the Mag 7 characters, I can see Hawk in the Charles Bronson role.
They don't. It's a whole nother group of characters

I figure Hawke is more of a James Coburn or Robert Vaughn type role. If we're sticking with Antoine Fuqua's buddies, the Bronson equivalent might be Gerard Butler or Wesley Snipes.
Hawke and Denzel back together. Yesh pleash.
Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington Team for 'Magnificent Seven' Remake

Worth checking out of is it one of Keenan Ivory Wayans' flops?
What I meant is that it's going to be roughly the same archetypes. You're going to have a stoic leader, a stone cold assassin, a naïve rookie, a nutcase; there's only so much variation in those characters.
Maybe, but he's not as good. Eli Wallach is or was on another level.Yeah, I like that. He has the same kind of sleazy charisma that Eli Wallach had.
He should be good. From all I hear, he's amazing in Daredevil.
HEY FOLKS ! The reports I'm playing the baddy not true . I'm one of the #THEMAG7 a great role . V.
Wagner Moura Is One of The Magnificent Seven

Okay, using the original archetypes, my best guesses as to who will fill those roles would be:
Denzel Washington: Chris Adams
Ethan Hawke: Vin Tanner
Luke Grimes: Chico
Chris Pratt: Lee
I'm pretty suprised that D'onferio is one of the 7, but he'd be a good fit in the role of either Bernardo (the "gentle giant" archetype) or Harry (the selfish fortune-seeker). Either of those roles could alternativly go to Moura, unless he's one of the villains or townspeople.
As for Britt, I think Doug Jones would be an amazing fit for that role.
I was just going by the discussion in here, it made it seem like they were sticking with the same archetypes.your archetypes are off...there are seven main characters but they are nothing like the original Magnificent Seven

The script I read had different archetypes. I can go back and list them here is people want. Off the top of my head I know there is a Bounty Hunter, a Gambler and a Native American
So Adam Beach? Or Wes Studi?
Because those are the only two Native American actors I can think of.
