THE STORY:
“DESTROYER,” PART 1
For sixty years, Keen Marlowe has been a super hero, taking down bad guys, fighting the good fight. But it’s is about to come crashing to an end. See, Marlowe is dying -- maybe today, maybe tomorrow, the only question is when. But Marlowe isn’t about to go quietly into the night. Before he goes, he intends to leave the world a safer place for his family. And if that means hunting down -- and murdering -- every super-villain he can, so be it. They don’t call him “Destroyer” for nothing.

I'm picking it up but I'm not expecting it to be good honestly. I like the Destroyer and I like Kirkman. I'm just going in with low expectations.

i read my advanced copy, thought it was total total crap myself. wouldn't spend a dollar on it

I'll buy it. Outside of Ultimate, Kirkman has usually been better than average if not good on Marvel books, from MARVEL TEAM-UP to IRREDEEMABLE ANT-MAN, so I expect his DESTROYER to be decent. Granted, with it being a 5 issue mini and with Kirkman seeming content to stay at Image for the near future, I doubt any sequel is likely and it may be very wise to trade-wait. I likely am too impatient, though.

Plus, Cory Walker on art!
