Hell when you look up AMS #535 on Google, it shows a link to Wikipedia and under the links headline, (though not on Wikipedia's Spiderman entry itself,) it says that in this issue Peter turns on Tony...ok yes I bothered to check all this. Yes I am pathetic, no I am not getting regular treatment at this time.t:

Did Reed tell that story about his uncle before? I could have sworn I heard about that months ago. And I have to say that that story makes Reed really look like a jerk and a hypocrit. According to his logic everyone from the abolitionist who opposed slavery to the germans who fought against Hitler were wrong. In addition, didn't Reed just sabatouge a government facility to prevent them from trying to replecate the event that created the FF. Also, I may have to look at my DVD -Rom collection of FF, but wasn't the whole flight into space illegal when Reed decided to take his friends on a little joy ride. Then there was that little story arc where the FF decided to overthrow the ruler of a foreign nation in violation of all types of international laws and treaties. I mean if Reed is going to be pro-reg at least give him a plausable reason for doing so.

But that would have required a far better understanding of Reed's character and much better writing skills that Millar or Quesada have ever had.

Seriously; poor Spidey will be destroyed in the media...AGAIN but Tony won't be able to put a good spin on his losing his protege, dear friend, and overall notoriously decent guy Avenger to other super-heroes, (especially those who even if registered still perhaps were somewhat ambivalent about SHRA like Jennifer Walters) even if he hires every firm on Madison Avenue. Plus Pete's defection might, just might be something that breaks whatever spell Reed's under right now.

I find Reed's Uncle story too weak to be a major point into Reed's position about the SHRA., What do you guys think?

I actually had a far better, and much more agreeable, reason why Reed was Pro-Registration. I know I have a bajillion posts about it somewhere, I'll try and look it up, or get bored, and tell it here.
