I missed the first issue of Avengers Prime since my shop sold out and was planning on using it to gauge whether I'm going to pay any attention to Bendvengers in this whole Heroic Age smoke screen status quo, so I may pick up the second printing if my shop gets any.

Whenever new Casanova's start up I'll be picking up for sure (even though it looks like it'll be one of Marvel's many price gouging titles), but I'm not sure if I'll pick up the reprints. I already own the Image series, and I don't know if an extra back-up is worth buying them again at such a high price. It's such a good series though.

However, if you haven't checked out Casanova in the past, you should do it! If you have to drop some Avengers crap or X-crap then do it! You won't regret it, and if you do I'm going to come to your house and mess up the place.

Woooooowwww! I totally remember this.... though I don't really recall who posted these back then that was quitting. ManofBat maybe?

BATMAN AND ROBIN #13 $2.99
BRIGHTEST DAY #5 $2.99
AVENGERS CHILDRENS CRUSADE #1 (OF 9) $3.99
SHADOWLAND #1 (OF 5) SL $3.99
X-FORCE #28 XSC $2.99
X-MEN #1 $3.99

Maybe
VENGEANCE OF MOON KNIGHT #10 $2.99
X-WOMEN #1 $4.99

I'll start off by saying that there's a 99.9999997% chance that I won't pick up X-Women #1 because the price is stupid, but it's worth a thumb through, so I put it down. Moon Knight I may consider due to the Secret Avengers thing but I also highly doubt I'll pick it up either.

As for the actually buying list.... amazing week! Children's Crusade has me very stoked, as does Shadowland. I've really been enjoying Second Coming, so the penultimate chapter in X-Force should be good. Batman & Robin's ending last issue had me so I've been looking forward to this issue. Brightest Day has been slow so I may hold off on reading this issue until I get the next one and then read them together for a more fulfulling read, but I doubt I will. Finally, X-Men does nothing for me because I just don't care about the vampire thing. But I'll buy it because it's a new core X-book... which is stupid because they don't do squat with their last core X-book (Astonishing).

I believe it was a fine fellow by the name of euroq.

So far most are avoiding Shadowland....shame too I like Diggle. I want to see it succeed.

He left saying he didn't enjoy posting here that much anymore, too many people migrating from CBR at the time for his tastes (okay, that last bit isn't totally true, but I will assume as much).

Maybe's:
AVENGERS: THE CHILDREN'S CRUSADE #1
THANOS IMPERATIVE SOURCEBOOK #1

Actually, a deceptively expensive week. Seven books, but with four $4 books, that is akin to buying 8 books. I average about $20 a week on comics and have for years, so this will buck that even if I do crack on the Maybe's.

The Thanos Sourcebook will depend on how it looks on a flip-through. If it is a standard Handbook, then it is a must buy. If it is one of those handbooks that is more about promotion than info, like some of the guide books for DARK REIGN or CIVIL WAR, then I may give it a pass. But I'm about 50/50 on it even if it is just promotion, unless it is like a "saga".

In truth I am probably about 75% leaning towards caving on Children's Crusade, although 25% of me really wishes I didn't. The story is 5 years late, and will take 2 years to complete. The expectations are ludicrously high. Yet Marvel has decided to stab the Young Avengers franchise in the cradle rather than hand it outright to anyone who wasn't Heinberg. The fact that they think a $4 bi-monthly series is worth it to the eager fans shows how little Marvel thinks of them. Prediction; the first issue will sell okay. By about issue #5 it will be at the bottom of the Top 85, and Marvel will act like decapitated chickens running around, not knowing why. But I'll know why, and anyone who studies reality does, too. I could be surprised, but I doubt I will be. It honestly would have had more of a chance at $3 an issue, even b-monthly. But $4 an issue? Not even Wolverine can easily sell with that price tag per issue.
