that's correct, and not the point. i'm not looking to argue. at the very least, you're supporting your lcs, which is cool.
it's just that if i went to a really ****ty restaurant every week, and shoveled that really ****ty food in my mouth with a grin, i'd doubt very many people (if any) would take me seriously. same principle applies to comics.
Fair enough.
How many rooms full of books do you have stored by this point?![]()
A reprint of the first two issues combined.NEW AVENGERS ILLUMINATI SECRET HISTORY (PP #758) $3.99 - what the hell is this
A reprint of the first two issues combined.
Actually, given that it's $2 cheaper than buying the issues individually and that I've recently lessened my stance on Bendis' mainstream Marvel work from abject hatred to cautious curiosity, I think I may get the 2-for-1 reprint.
What's wrong with reprinting something in the hope that more people will buy it? As for variants, if you don't want to buy two copies of the same issue with different covers, don't. I wouldn't.Uggg, I am so tired of all the reprints, various covers, and all. In many ways, it's like the 90's all over again (except with better stories). Even such a small selling book, like Battlestar Galactica, seems to have 3 or 4 different covers each month.
He's got a co-writer as well, so that should dilute the "abject hatred" even more.Actually, given that it's $2 cheaper than buying the issues individually and that I've recently lessened my stance on Bendis' mainstream Marvel work from abject hatred to cautious curiosity, I think I may get the 2-for-1 reprint.

Eh, I'm fine with that. I've always been a reader more than a collector, so if more people get to read a comic at the expense of collectors' getting their variants and first-run copies, I don't mind.Look at the 90's and you'll see why. In my opinion, by loading the market with so many reprints, the price and demand for those of us who bought a first print goes down. Plus, Variants usually don't get into the hands of the fans, unless they are willing to shell out the money for it. The comic shops tend to hold onto these supposed gems and charge more than the original 2.99 asking price.
waitaminute...so we're getting invincible #40 this week (4/18) and #41 next week (4/25)?
sweet.![]()
INVINCIBLE at best ships about a week later than Diamond projects. Diamond announced #40 last week and it just same this week. So it should be 2 weeks at least.
But hey, the more the merrier.![]()
