WONDER WOMAN #32 $2.99 - Have a hard time seeing how all the stuff going on in this book fits together in the end.

Quite a good week with all $3 Marvel books, although that won't be the same next month. GHOST RIDER calls it a series after 35 issues and will then be reverting to a 6 issue mini to allow Jason Aaron to wrap up his storyline, at $4 a pop. I suppose it would have been easier just to increase the price of GHOST RIDER and allow it to remain an extra six issues, but ending a run at issue #35 looks better than issue #41 I guess. 35 issues is about three years, which is a lengthy run for a volume of an ongoing at this day and age. We also are on the second-to-last issue of IMMORTAL IRON FIST before that too is replaced by a 6 issue mini at #4 a pop, only that mini is to focus more on the other "Immortal Weapons" more than wrapping up a storyline.

There's good news, of course. NOVA reaches the 25th issue, which was the milestone for a solo Nova series set by the original in the 70's, which this far, far, FAR superior modern version will surpass. AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE celebrates a second year on the racks at $3 with sales still pretty decent (around 45-50k or so), and with Christos Gage really heating things up after Slott departed. And of course, more GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, continuing onward with WAR OF KINGS.

Not a dud or an iffy title in the bunch here. Solid week.

Phaedrus45, DC is indeed doing another weekly comic thing. It is called WEDNESDAY COMICS and it is being shaped and patterned like newspaper comic strips, complete with being folded to normal comic size. The talent involved is supposed to be good, but it seems a bit out there. I don't think it is 52 weeks, but it is going to be weekly for a while. We'll see how it goes. DC has been seeing diminishing returns on their weekly comics for years now.
