Did anyone see 1989's movie in theaters?

I have 2 of these. The one I originally had from '89 and the reissue they made available from the very first VHS box set. You sent in the receipt and UPC plus shipping and you got a set of the 4 movie posters.

Nice avie Shadowbat! Nice seeing you still around these days, it's been a while.

Thanks. Yeah, I still lurk from time to time to see what's going on.

That's the international style "D" and quite rare (the one with the full names of Keaton and Nicholson spelled out)... it's high gloss like the original one-sheet and one of them sold on eBay for about $100 sometime last year.

You're right, I didn't pay close enough attention. I'm rusty on my Batman. lol

That's okay. You're Snake ******' Plissken!

I went to a rodeo last night and after the finale, the music that was played was this.

If I recall correctly Batman89 opened on my birthday - my 28th birthday! I can remember getting out of work at 3 in the afternoon and rushing to the theater to avoid the Friday night crowds. I was so thrilled to see a "serious" version. Loved Keaton and Nicholson and everything about it. Made me feel like a kid again. Went to see it again the next night with a girl from work who I had a crush on. She hated it, thought it was the stupidest thing she'd ever seen! Suffice it to say that was our one and only date!

The only merchandise I bought was a coffee cup with the Bat-Symbol on it. I still use that cup to this day.

Off topic, but the first film I ever saw I the theater was the 66Batman with Adam West. Yeah I'm THAT old. I remember my Mom taking me to see it in a long gone theater called the Casino, and inside the lobby was a huge display of Batman toys and games put there by a local toy store. My eyes nearly popped out of my head looking at all those goodies! Don't recall the film too much, but I clearly remember that toy display.

Great memories of Batman 89... saw it the theater 5 times and wore out the VHS... Batmania was running wild!

I'm about 21 years younger than you, but I also saw B66 in theaters before I saw B89. Granted, it was a re-release, but I still got to see it in theaters.

I remember seeing it at the drive in with my parents. I didnt really understand a lot of it, just remember Joker's "We've got a flying mouse to kill, and I want to clean my claws" line.
