But if the 6th one is going to be a prequel well my ideal young John McClane would be either Scott Eastwood or Garrett Hedlund in the role that made Bruce Willis into a star

neither one can act for **** and neither one looks remotely like Willis. I can't think of any known actor who fits a Bruce Willis type. Yeah Statham ia bruce willis-ish but to old. Might be up to an unknown actor at this point.

Though I hope this idea is dead I doubt they will give up that easily. The studio has been rather silent on it for a while however.

I'd rather see Len Wiseman do something new instead. Die Hard's a dead franchise. Make a new action movie with new characters.

People might hate this example, but I mean Non-Stop was basically of the Die Hard mold, but it was still an original movie. The movie didn't get great reviews, but it didn't get trashed either. It did well at the box office. Good little movie and an original script.

It doesn't have to even be like that. But I mean, try something different? I don't think we can do anything else with Die Hard. You grew up his kids and got them involved. What else can you do at this point? No one liked the last movie.

Yeah, like something I don't care about, 'cause Len Wiseman is the posterboy for today's bland and weak filmmakers. Other than knowing how to create some pretty image, there's not much more to him.

I saw the original recently...What a great action film. It still holds up so well. Never bothered with 4 or 5 and will most likely skip this one if it actually gets made.

You start licking the bottom where it’s lovely chocolate, but half way up it turns into dog s***. By the time you reach the top, all your licking is the s***.

As far as this one goes, a young John McClane prequel sounds like such a lame idea. What is it with Fox these days and prequels?

I'd much rather the torch be passed to his daughter Lucy McClane, with her dad in a supporting role. I MEW. She's so damn underrated.

If they're going young, do it right. Cast a 10 year old John McClane on the playground stopping a bunch of 8 graders from taking over the sandbox. He can meet Holly who's new to the school.
