Who should be cast as the young John McClane in the Die Hard prequel?

Yeah. While this is indeed a ****ty idea, seems a little weird dying on the 'he's gotta be an everyman!' hill at this point.

Guy's been an unstobbable machine superhero since Live Free. McTiernan & Harlin cared about that aspect, but we haven't seen that John since '95, consistency isn't really a thing with the series by now.

Live Free or Die Hard wasn't too bad.

Yes it was. The series really jumped the shark when McClane is riding on the back of a fighter jet.

The fact that they are bringing back Len Wiseman to direct this abomination of an idea is just as bad as the idea to do a prequel.

This is going to be some ghost of a cat in McLane's past coming back to haunt him. I can see this being enjoyable if its a small, character drama with some tender moments with him and Holly and some action scenes that don't rely on over-the-top special effects and insane stunt work. But who would want to watch a Die Hard film like that? Mostly no one, which is exactly why they won't make it.

Honestly, I really can't wait to see a trailer for this thing just to see what kinda-sorta stuck to the wall, but my expectations are in the complete gutter.

If young McClane was a cartoon character or maybe stop motion, I would instantly be back on board with this franchise.
