The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Director's Cut

Agreed. :word:

I haven't seen any for TASM 2 yet :oldrazz:, but overall, I'm pretty bummed that they removed Connor's family from TASM1.

I also want to see where the Oscorp Spying on Peter sub-plot would've gone.

Yeah, that would have helped a LOT on his character developtment.

Gwen going to Aunt May house, that line "Yeah yeah i was implying on that implying on that"

Harry attacking Oscorp

I'm not sure how everyone else can relate to this, but never in my life have I seen a DC fix a bad movie. To those of you who thought this one was such a perfect Spider-Man adaptation...why on earth do you want more, then? To me, that suggests that the movie is more full of holes and incomplete than some of you let on, but I could be wrong.

Great scenes were cut,is about about improving what is already good.

I wanted to see Harry attacking Oscorp.

What was it, exactly? All I got was "I'm a nobody. I hate myself, it's my birthday, birthday, birthday, I want the power grid back" lol

Actually it was moreso "the man who is my Idol, that I've worked under for years, has completely and totally shot down my invention that I've been working on. Max was "Spider-Man saved me...we're bffs...wait...he doesn't know my name...in the LARGEST CITY IN THE WORLD...where he saves nameless people on a daily basis. lol

Did you even watch TASM2.

He got angry at Spider-Man for a number of things. 1: Forgetting his name, 2: He believes Spidey set him up for that sniper shot when he asked Max to come towards him, 3: He felt Spider-Man was selfish for taking the spotlight, the only attention he's ever really had, off of him (the screens).

That + his already deranged mental state (The scene with Smythe) and the fact he was invisible and now has all this power is better motivation than "My idol hates my invention."

Wish I didn't.

1: Forgetting his name,
Once again...in the biggest city in the world, despite the fact that Spider-Man saves nameless folks on a daily basis.

2: He believes Spidey set him up for that sniper shot when he asked Max to come towards him

Despite that Police officers had been shooting at him before Spider-Man even showed up, and only stopped once he did. Until the sniper took it anyways.

3: He felt Spider-Man was selfish for taking the spotlight, the only attention he's ever really had, off of him (the screens).

Let me play my tiny violin for him.

It was underdeveloped and played for laughs...seriously. The audience was laughing at Max the whole time. At least Nygma had known personally known Bruce for years, Max knew Spidey for a whole 14 seconds.

For people who hate a film sooooooo strongly, they still stick around and discuss. This is just another my film is better than yours thread when it should be about the directors cut.

And Nygma wasn't played for laughs? :pal:

I haven't watch Batman Forever for a while, so excuse me for not remembering, but I got the feeling that Nygma never met Bruce beforehand.

Also, once more. Deranged. He was deranged and blew a 14 second meeting out of proportion.

Nygma was goofy, yes. But he was still more developed than Dillion, and nowhere near as goofy. Is his motivation good? No. But it's better than Dillion's, and he isn't a frackin' walking caricature of a nerd.

Yeah, definitely not a caricature. :whatever:

DC had an extended Green Lantern cut, but didn't really make it much better...

Which is exactly what I fear would happen in this scenario. Either way, I wouldn't be the one to buy the movie, so I guess I wouldn't know anyway.

Maybe you guys can start a petition?

Well then how about you do your best to get the discussion back on track instead of being a wise guy?

Discussion was on track until you came in

This....this can't be serious. This can't be taken seriously. Jim Carrey in BF was Ace Ventura in green tight....but AMPLIFIED. There is not one scene in that film that Carrey wasn't OTT in the extreme. Max may have looked cliche but he was never, not once, THIS:

Glasses and long hair...while wearing a lab coat at his workplace...in a lab. Compared to this...

Seriously. How do you take that seriously?

Oh, and I like how you grab a behind the scenes pic to illustrate your point when he never looked that extreme in the film.

The scene in his bedroom/apartment and singing happy birthday to himself tops that, by a hot mile. At least Carrey's antics were entertaining, as bad as the script had been calling for...much unlike Foxx's, which was beyond cringeworthy. The Kafka scene too.

You...

I like you.

Thank you. :yay:

I'm sure he'll find some way to deflect. This is the one opinion of the film I simply call utter BS on without remorse. Comparing Max to anything Schumacher is asinine and shouldn't be given the time of day. It borders on being flat out idiotic because what is presented in both those films are so different that the argument holds no water.

The most OTT Max does in the film have a FANTASY of flipping out on his boss. Pretending to talk to Spidey? Give me a break. It was silly, had an element of cheese about it, but nothing in the delivery of the lines or the performance reached anything close to Carrey in Batman Forever.

You really can't be taken seriously. You just can't. You stare at PROOF that Carrey is way, way WAY more OTT in his film than Foxx-you stare it at right in the face as say "nah...man."

Singing happy birthday? What kind of drugs are you on? How in any way shape of f--king form is that anywhere near the level of cheese in BF? He sang it to himself like anybody sings a song to themselves. He didn't yell, scream, making funny faces or noises like Carrey does. You know what he did? He sang to himself, like one would in the shower. The hyperbole here is off the charts insane.

Give me a break.

Jamie took his role seriously. I didn't get the slightest hint that Carrey enjoyed his role.

I believe that is the main difference. :)
