Because there is a thread for those that should make more.

I'd say Richard Kelly. After three movies, I'm still, unimpressed. The Box started out as a good remake of a Twilight Zone episode and then once it passes the 40 min mark, I just lost interest.

I just think that Richard Kelly is in his 'sophomore flop' stage and he can't get away from it for some odd reason.

It makes me think that Donnie Darko took so much from him that he's just struggling right now. He has talent for sure, though.

Michael Bay
Brett Ratner
Uwe Boll
McG
Paul W.S. Anderson
Wachowski "Brothers"

The problem I have with Kelly is that, first you have Donnie Darko. Then you've got Southland Tales, which just seems like an abstract extension of Donnie Darko. Then you've got The Box, and it's just a bunch of stuff covered in both those films, and what makes it worse is that he took a pre-existing story and over-thought it. We need at least one movie from him that doesn't involve watery space-time wormholes.

M. Night Shyamalan
Brett Ratner
McG

Michael Bay, Brett Ratner, McG, Uwe Boll, Zack Snyder.

Does anyone have any different suggestions other than Bay, Ratner, Boll, and McG. Still thinking of some, but this always happens in these threads. A bunch of repeated answers. I got one for you. George Romero.

i love Romero but i agree that he's losing his magic.

It really pains me to name him in this thread. The man is such an influence and had made some of the best zombie films ever. But he's lost it.

I'd say pretty much of all the classic horror directors have lost it at this point in their careers, save maybe Craven.

Clint Eastwood.

Not that he can't be quality, I just think he fires out too many movies, wish he'd take his time.

If they were bad movies, yes. But at least he's firing out great/decent movies.

I love the guy to death, but I think Tim Burton needs to take a break for a couple of years.

Haven't liked anything hes made since Ed Wood, well, Big Fish was decent. Other than that. ffffuuu him and Kevin Smith just need to retire.

I'm surprised that in 23 posts no one has said Roland Emmerich.

Hahaha xwolverine i agree. When I first read the title Tyler Perry was the first guy that came to mind.
