This thread can be about directors that may or may not be popular, but whose work you've only seen a little of but have liked.

For me:
-Yhang Yimou (saw his wuxia films, and a few of his more recent works like Walking Alone..., but still some older ones I need to see)
-Chan-wook Park (saw the "Revenge Trilogy" and JSA, but need to see other less popular works)
-Ingmar Bergman (saw 7th Seal, which was brilliant)
-Takashi Miike (saw a few of his more popular works)
-Woody Allen (this is a director I should have seen more stuff from. I am sorely lacking in his films)
-Bernardo Bertolucci (saw a few of his films that didn't impress me, but I know he is highly regarded)
-Michael Curtiz (saw his more popular works and loved them, like Casablanca, but he has a lot more in his filmography)
-Werner Herzog (only saw Grizzly Man)

A director that needs to do more work......James Cameron. Dude is taking too long between films.

Since hes been gone for a while now, Cameron! Hes making a comeback with potential trilogies Battle Angel and Avatar apparently.

Cant wait.

I need to see some Hitchcock flicks. (I've never seen one actually..:o)
I still want to see Once Upon A Time in America and maybe A fistful of Dynamite from Sergio Leone.

Tim Burton.

Christopher Nolan comes and pisses all over his great Batman movies, and what does he counter with?...

"Corpse Bride" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", two mediocre movies.

He needs to make another hit to make all of the idiotic Nolan fanboys to remember him.

I hate to admit it, but I've only one movie each by Scorcese, Kubrick and Woody Allen (and I didn't even get half way through Match Point).

That is bad, but on the flip side, you have soooo many great movies to see for the first time! I'm in the same boat with Allen. I don't think I've seen a single movie of his!

You've never seen a Hitchcock flick!  What are you waiting for?

Definitely see Once Upon A Time In America. It's an incredible movie. Very hard to get through in one sitting, but it's definitely worth it.

I need to see Leone's western flicks as well. :(
