Disc Tray error!?

For a month now,my 360 has been acting kinda weird with the disc tray and it'll keep saying"open disc"and at first I thought it was just a cracked game I had But it kept getting worse!,sometimes I'll move the game on the tray towards the right and it'll make a little cracking noise But it always work until last night and earlier it worked but right now no matter what.....it just won't read any disc!

What's wrong with it??,any way I can fix it or do I have to send it in??,There's a shop a few blocks away from me and so maybe they'll fix it But opens till Tuesday and I'm getting MK on Tuesday then family are coming over for the weekend and so it'll really really suck IF I won't be able to have it all week:!(
