I got GOW a few weeks ago and it was working fine, until I loaned it to my friend today. For some reason when he loads the disc it won't read it. Tried cleaning the disc and it still didn't work. All his other games work fine on it too.

He got the core system, could that have any effect? Any help is appreciated....

Does GoW still work on your system?
See that's another problem. I won't be able to check until Friday 'cos I'm away from my 360 all week. :csad:

Well if it doesn't read, the disk became damaged.

If it does, your friend's 360 may have a problem, probably because Gears needs a console update and your friend doesn't have a harddrive.

Although... the console updates aren't loaded into the harddrive... so... wierd problem if it DOES work in your 360 still.

I don't think he's updated the console in a while... that could be the problem?

That is just weird.

But he should connect it to the 'net and update it if he doesn't have Live.

Alright, thanks for the help guys. I'll find out if that worked.

He just has a Core 360 though, so I don't think he can.

The update Gears needs is on the Gears disk and does it automatically.

So this is all very wierd if Gears still works on your 360.

It may just be damaged.

Yeah, you're right I think.

You can't connect the core 360 to the internet?
