🇺🇸 Discussion: The DEMOCRATIC P - Part 3

US News
Depends. Give a guy you met at Home Depot 50 bucks to help you pack a U-haul for a couple of hours? Go for it. An actual business using illegals to cut costs and maximize profits? **** no.

I’m not saying there is a right answer to this but would you be willing to pay more for your food to cover the costs of a businesses having to pay insurance on all their workers as well as a minimum wage? I would but I understand it’s a dilemma businesses face.

That is not how committee assignments work.

Of course not. But voters are signalling something pretty clearly here. We're never going to get things like universal healthcare in this country with sellout centrist hacks like Suozzi. This is how you squander voter gains: by going right back to the same horse**** everyone is sick of.

They say she's just a republican in democratic clothing, lol

I know that Tulsi Gabbard has a lot of support among a certain group of Democrats. I'll admit, I don't know much about her though. What I've seen hasn't spoken to me that much, so I'd definitely lean towards Warren at this point. Her economic platform is the kind of thing we need right now.

This is going to sound terrible... but look, I'm just gonna say it. The man has a baby face. He looks young and I think a lot of folks would have a hard time imagining him in a place of power. He does have a great story and he supports good policies, as far as I know though.

Whoever gets the nom, I just hope democrats don't have another civil war before the election. I'd vote for any of them that gets it, though I'd vote for Tulsi in disgust.

Kirsten Gillibrand is entering the race tonight on Colbert. Technically, already has, I guess.

She's the one candidate that I'm a definite 'no' on.

Along with Tulsi Gabbard who I'm still not convinced is all that good a choice.

Gillibrand seems too inauthentic, similar to Hillary. I'm sure she has some good policy ideas and would be capable. Time will tell how she does through this slog.

She threw a member of her own team under the bus. Franken didn't deserve it. So, I'm sorry, but Gillibrand is not getting my vote.

I do find it interesting that she is running on a feminism platform... if it were somebody else, I'd be very interested in something like that. Given the MeToo movement, I could see that kind of platform gaining traction.

When it comes to women candidates... I thought that I was favoring Warren, but Harris is impressive... so either of those two before Gillibrand.

I don't know about "all candidates" are fit but I agree on Gabbard is not.
