🇺🇸 Discussion: The DEMOCRATIC P - Part 3

US News
Better than buildings standing empty while people sleep outside in tents.

Business Insider - NYC rolls out plan to convert empty office buildings into 20,000 homes as remote working persists
  • NYC Mayor Eric Adams outlined a proposal to convert office buildings into affordable homes.
  • Adams said the goal is to create as many as 20,000 homes to help solve the city's housing crisis.
  • The rise of remote work has meant some companies are scaling back or closing their office spaces entirely.

Converting offices is more complicated than people think, especially ones where the core location would make units too deep for light and air requirements. In some cases it would even be cheaper to demo the entire building and start anew rather than renovate to meet residential code requirements.

PACs ripping people off?! Shocker!

They are never going to leave them alone. :(

They don't learn real well down there in Tennessee, do they?

They might learn something they don't want to next round of elections.

Scripps News - Mississippi Gov. Reeves to face Democrat Brandon Presley in November
Brandon Presley, a cousin of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, ran unopposed. He's campaigning, in part, on ending the state's 7% tax on groceries.
Daily Journal - [Mississippi] Governor’s race now tied, Presley internal poll says
According to the memo, 59% of voters recognize [Democrat] Brandon Presley’s name, up from about 25% name recognition when he began the campaign. About 38% of voters have a favorable view of him and 21% a negative view. Name recognition is a major hurdle for Presley’s campaign against [Republican] Reeves, who has been familiar to voters since his first statewide campaign for treasurer in 2003.

Hope she doesn't succeed. :( Not liking the sound of her at all.

They know running as Republican openly is an increasingly dicey gamble so they are trying doing what Republicans always do: lie and cheat their way to power.

Annoying that they get away with it as much as they do.
