Discussion: The DEMOCRATIC P - Part 3

Considering that SCOTUS has said it is pretty much impossible to prove bribery unless you hand over cartoon bags of money. nice of Menendez to make it easy.

Having a lot of cash is on thing. Having gold bars is another.

So, Menendez says he kept that money around "in case of an emergency". What was he expecting? The zombie apocalypse?

Hey Honey, the undead are outside the front door. You better grab the half million dollars in my coat pockets and don't forget the gold bars. I hear the price of bottled water is skyrocketing. I'll grab the Mercedes and pick you up out back. Goddammit, I KNEW we should have gotten that Fing hardtop instead of a convertible. :funny:

Schumer standing by Menendez and refusing to call for his resignation when the dude's own governor and state party already have is a national disgrace. It's long been clear he's not fit to lead the Senate. This should be the last straw.

Loving the gun tax. Should do that everywhere.

Elon is the idiot here, not AOC.
They are both smart people from the perspective of being able to figure things out. One of them cares about others and one of them cares about himself......oops.....gender blip.....gave away who is who.....

I like the minimum wage hike, not so crazy about driverless trucks.

I mean, people are gonna say that regardless and will probably still say it about those up there in age like Schumer, McConnell, Grassley, Pelosi, and so on.

So does this mean no more judiciary appointments since McConnell won't allow a replacement?

**** McConnell. He can't block anything once Feinstein's seat is filled.

I mean, Feinstein was clearly gone a long time ago. It was elder abuse. Not entirely sure about McConnell, but Grassley definitely should be gone.

Cue the negative Nancy whining that “she should’ve retired already.”

That seat will stay blue thanks to Gavin Newsom appointing her replacement.
Gavin better be damn careful about who he appoints. If he appoints one of the people running next year, he's going to take a lot of heat for putting his finger on the scale. The smart move is to appoint someone who will commit to not running in 2024.
