🇺🇸 Discussion: The DEMOCRATIC P - Part 3

US News
Manchin was toast and he knew it. Him dropping out was not a blow to the Democrats keeping control of the senate. The way the map lines up in very difficult states is the problem.

Judging by how well liked Brown and Tester are in OH and MT, plus how Ds came out to defeat anti choice ballot initiatives in both states, makes me think 2024 is not going to follow the same playbook.

I do think if Ds nationwide use abortion the way they have in OH and VA, we could see some surprise seat flips in deep red states. Voting out someone like Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz is not insurmountable at this point.

I love your optimism, but when you throw in Arizona and Nevada, it’s a tough climb. Not insurmountable, but very difficult.

My opinion is that the Democrats retaining control of the senate are very low. Sorry to say that, but that’s how I see it.

Things can change between now and then, they better change pretty dramatically.

I'd love to see Hawley and Cruz lose their seats!

Man, if Ted Cruz were voted out, if I could, I would literally throw a party in celebration.

AZ is getting bluer. Sinema, should she run for reelection, will drag down Kari Lake more then Ruben Gallego. And Nevada is not a purple state, it’s like Virginia.

Every single incumbent Democrat up for reelection next year is going to run HARD on abortion. And the D challengers to incumbent R Senators have a powerful bludgeon to hit Cruz, Hawley and Scott with.

We never packed that much for camping. Maybe he had the unicorn costumes so that they could both slip past the border unnoticed.

Voters and donors didn’t appreciate being taken for a ride from Bag Lady Sinema. They voted for a progressive Democrat, they got a half assed wannabe Maverick who didn’t vote to eliminate the filibuster or do what she promised (voter rights, $15/hr federal wage, abortion protections).

Gallego is thumping his voting record for ALL of it. And he’s preferable over Sinema or… shudder… Kari Lake.

Another flip from red to blue.

To defend America against those who would exploit our social disconnection, we need to rebuild our communities.

On Tuesday, in sometimes tearful testimony, Mr DePape told the court he used to have left-wing political beliefs before a political transformation that started when he was living in a garage without a toilet or shower, playing video games for hours at a time.

Giving evidence for more than an hour, he said that in the course of looking up information about video games he became interested in Gamergate, an anti-feminist campaign that targeted prominent women in the gaming world and became a huge online trend starting in 2014.

I hope more states will do this too.

Yeah, the GOP are going to their best to stop green tech in their states, even if it is beneficial. Even in MI, they had to remove authority from local authorities to stop NIMBYs.
