Two R power grab amendments were rejected by WI voters last night.

I hope in the event that Dems recapture the state legislature in 2026, they need to put an independent redistricting commission amendment on the 2028 ballot (it needs to have the same language as the OH one). They’ll need to pass it in two consecutive legislative sessions— but they’ll only need a bare majority before it goes on the ballot. And the state will have fair maps regardless of the partisan makeup of the WISC or the state legislature.
