This country failed him twice to see the first woman president.

Mitt Romney was right, there is nothing that the GOP can offer 47% of the country. The same goes for Dems and conservatives. The chasm between both sides is worsening. Then again, stories like this are contributing to that gap.

RIP President Carter. I was hoping he’d live to see 2025 but I’m glad he made it to 100. At least Biden can speak as president at his funeral and not Trump.

I think if Elizabeth Warren had run in and won primaries to become nominee she would be uniquely qualified, credible to say she's not just more of Biden, she would govern differently and better than him (he's done well but we have a lot more to do), from that could have won general election, but even she wouldn't have been able to distance herself much from Biden and his record if she just came in, became nominee at the last minute, at the convention.

And she does have some shot for 2028 but, like most Democrats, only a particularly strong shot if the economy does really badly or at least doesn't improve.
