I do wonder, how differently might history be, and things be now, if in 2008 Obama had not chosen Biden for Vice President?
Could he have chosen someone who was was more experienced and a bit older but had not supported the Iraq War?
And it is pretty weird that since 2014/2015 frontrunner status has been pretty tied with experience and so really benefiting old politicians even though they are also pretty disliked even within their party for a lot of their record. Even now, though I guess understandably, without there being a big frontrunner, just having most name recognition does seem to be the closest thing to being biggest frontrunner.
