Discussion: The North American Union

China probably does not want paper money anymore at this point since it is losing its purchasing value (green back). It is a vicious cycle, by printing out even more paper money to repay debt, it loses even more value. Another variation of the greenback is redundant. Oil and gold is much more attractive.

So no to Amero.

Oooh....can I buy a time machine with my Amero's? That would be sweet!

jag

I would highly doubt that a North American currency would be called the "Amero" which is nothing but a tacky rip-off name of the Euro and Afro.

"And we'll put a happy little bush right -here."

I have a friend in Russia I can ask about this.

That said, I have no doubt that the NAU is in process. There's a ton of data on it out there that anyone can read, much of it right on the whitehouse.gov website.

I did look up the North American Development Bank and Paulson is indeed the head of the American side of the board. You can read about the North American Development Bank here: http://www.nadb.org/about/organization.html

You should also hit this link: http://www.cocef.org/ingles.php

The current economy cannot be sustained. It is going to come down. Not just the economy, but the currency. When that happens, we'll need a replacement. Apparently, this is it.

We'll see.

SUbstituting one currency for another failed one wont work.
We need to work the problem....bad spending habits...

Ain't gonna happen with an Obama presidency and filibuster proof liberal Senate and House.

The North American Union won't happen. The reason why the EU worked was because every single country which originally joined had similar governmental systems and similar economic success. Mexico is economically stagnant (the country could technically be considered a part of the third world, depending on which standards you look at) and their currency is practically worthless when compared to the dollar. The United States and Canada could theoretically join, but what would the point of that be?

All of this is more of the same crazy-talk from the graduates of the Ron Paul Institute of Nonsensical Conspiracies.

I'm not sure how you can call it 'crazy talk' when so much evidence to the contrary exists out there, including that the NAU seal is on the North Carolina driver's license, and that the Whitehouse.gov website actually talks about this stuff...

And there are bright lights over Arizona. Does that mean the aliens are invading?

I guess what I'm not understanding is how your views could cause you to believe that the US currency system isn't on the verge of collapse, given our debt, our GDP, the fact that it was our unethical practices that led to the global economic meltdown, along with the overwhelming evidence that exists out there at LEGITIMATE sources that say that the NAU is a reality.

Why would you completely write something off when so much supporting evidence exists to substantiate the claims?

I'm not denying that our currency may be on the verge of collapsing. As it stands right now, however, we have yet to see that happen. The NAU could be possible if the United States unraveled economically and socially to the same degree Mexico has... but I doubt that will happen anytime soon, nor do I really expect it to. The conditions which created the European Union cannot be easily replicated between the United States, Mexico, Canada, and maybe even the Central American nations.

Why would you completely write something off when so much supporting evidence exists to substantiate the claims?

Just as much evidence exists which supports the contrary... such as... oh yes, we haven't created the NAU, there is no such currency as the Amero, and no one in our government is lobbying for either entity. The majority of Americans oppose its creation, the majority of our politicians oppose its creation, and even high ranking officials in Mexico don't want to see it happen.

I think it's safe to file this away under "nonsensical conspiracy." I mean, something obviously crashed in Roswell in the 1950s... but that doesn't prove aliens exist.

On a sort of unrelated note...there have been a lot of big UFO sightings lately (a lot on video tape that have been authenticated by non-partisan sources). And now the British parliment are releasing files. Maybe aliens are invading and we are being eased into it :wow:

...or not.

The biggest notch against the whole idea of aliens for me, is of one variable.

TIME.

Look at how old our universe is. Even if Aliens exists, to have them co-exist simultaneous to our time is mathematically.... err difficult. This is one reason why the Drake equation is faulty.

Assuming, of course, that the universe is as old as our limited science claims it is...

Yes - undermine decades of supported research and empirical data to "prove" your so-called point. It's working wonders for you

Um, we can see maybe five to six pixels of Pluto. We don't even have a clear image of a planet (or planetoid) inside our own solar system. We don't even understand the complexity of dirt, nor can we create a seed to plant within it. All that we know is all that we're capable of determining with our understanding of our surroundings, and we haven't even figured out what makes ourselves tick. What makes you think decades of research have revealed anything other than what our finite view of things allows us to understand?

The simplest tree is more complex than the most powerful computer system, yet it bears a simplicity all its own that we cannot possibly fathom nor create on our own - something called life. Yet we'll presume to believe that our theories about the universe are conclusive.

It all seems a tad naive to me...

Those coins aren't real. Some dude made them as an example.

Bull****.

I take it you've never looked at the pictures taken of Mercury by the MESSENGER spacecraft; the several pictures of Venus taken by American and Soviet probes as well as topographical imaging through radar; the images of Mars via the Hubble space telescope, both Viking probes, and the Mars Pathfinder.

I can go on about the pictures of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

These images are available. You just have to use the google

Well Said.... The Best Post of the Year!

Some people will never quite understand the point you are making.
