Cruz can kiss my ass. Chris Wallace pretty much listed all the false accusations his campaign has claimed and he outright denied them. Then the subsequent argument is a spectacle indeed.

In defense of Cruz there has been way worse things done in regards to dirty tricks then his campaign ever did. His campaign teams biggest fault was being extremely sloppy about it

So a story on Politico is saying how GOP donors are trying to figure out the cost of a Independent run. And honestly, they might as well donate to the LP because to even get on 11 states, its 460,000 signatures. This is incase TRUMP gets nomination...so members of GOP are already looking at a 3rd party run. And article says they need to decide by March 16th.

The New York Times is sitting on an audio recording that some of its staff believes could deal a serious blow to Donald Trump, who, in an off-the-record meeting with the newspaper, called into question whether he would stand by his own immigration views.

The New York Times is refusing to release an audio recording from an off-the-record meeting with Donald Trump where some speculate the front-runner talked about immigration.

Cruz And Rubio Call On Trump To Release Secret New York Times Interview

Id like to hear the tape and I think they should be required to release it seeing as he is running for president, but maybe it will leak.

If it was off the record, they shouldn't be required to and in fact should not for their own integrity which has been shaken over the years.

I'm sure the Dems have enough to derail him with some crazy stuff if need be. I'd also bet the GOP have instructed Cruz and Rubio not to deal any death blows since Trump is in such a commanding lead.

Sucks for them but party politics rule the roost.

When a person is running for president a position that determines life and death for people world wide nothing should be off the record. The public should have access to everything to do with the candidate. Especially any statements regarding policy which this was.

But if you dont want to know what the man actually thinks and prefer to just accept his public BS sales pitch be my guest.

I dont know. Off the record is off the record for me. I supose when the comments were made matter to me too. I see Trump for what he is. Cheap labor is good for business but maybe not for his xenophobia. Ilegal Ukrainians are okay but not hispanics. Plus you have to consider his campaign and how he has riled up his "base".

If they release it during general, he may actually get MORE votes.

Well based on whats known of the tape (it being supposedly damaging) Im guessing Trump's actual feelings on immigration is that he doesnt care about it and that he has used immigrants as a work force. That wouldnt go over well with the xenophobes, racists, and Islamophobes that are currently supporting him.

Gawd! I want to punch Cruz in his repulsive Cobblepott face.

Republicans think Trump has little chance of winning the election, and could hurt the down ballot.

Republicans want to wait til the election to confirm a new Justice, as to listen to the will of the people.

There's your Republican logic in a nutshell.

I'm not a fan of Lindsey Graham but he was hysterical last night on CBS.

They asked his opinion, and he jokingly said that it probably wasn't worth much since he got "beat like a drum" for this nomination....lmao, but he was spot on when he said, we are for the first time watching a party of a predominantly 2 party system of government disintegrate before our eyes. Peggy Noonan was also interviewed, and her knowledge of history is amazing, she talked about the 2 main paradigm shifts in the Republican Party the shift of the 60's and the shift of the 80's, and she said those will pale in comparison to what we are seeing happening right now.

I have been watching politics for a long time, and I have seen MANY Super Tuesdays....I have NEVER IN MY LIFE heard rhetoric like I heard from the Republican candidates leading up to last night.

When you hear Republican leaders saying that they are going to have to actually get behind a Cruz, in order to not get a Trump???? Wow...

What's the danger there, Kelly? I'm not a student of history, but what kind of rhetoric were you hearing last night?

Most of it was from Cruz...

The Republican party members that follow Cruz see their loss in the last 2 elections as a problem of not being "Conservative enough", not being "Religious enough"...it had nothing to do with alienating certain demographics like the "Hispanic vote"..."Women voters" etc...their deafness to this is astounding. Those Republican leaders that GET THIS DEMOGRAPHIC PROBLEM, are the ones dropping out of this race.

Trump pretty much went to the center in his speech, saying he will try and get along with both sides of the aisles, both houses, blah, blah, blah....and of course...this.

Ryan earlier in the day condemned Trump for equivocating on whether he disavows support from the white supremacists who happen to love his campaign.
"Paul Ryan, I'm sure I'm going to get along great with him," Trump said. "And if I don't, he's going to have to pay a big price. Okay?"
Trump did not elaborate on why or how Ryan would pay a big price if the two can't get along. Trump uttered the vague threat in response to a reporter asking how he'd get along with Congress while its GOP leaders are condemning his campaign.
As far as danger? I don't see it as dangerous unless Trump or Cruz actually win, which I do not see happening. So, the only danger is that the Republican party falls apart. I'm fine with that... ;) It is just as a follower and teacher of Politics, it is amazing to watch it happen.

I do love it that it is the career Republicans that are saying the party is blowing up right in front of us. Do they not understand that they are the reason? Tom DeLay was on with Chris Matthews last night essentially saying the same thing and saying that if Trump doesn't get the 1237 needed, they would broker the convention and have all non Trump supporting delegates vote for another candidate.

Can they not see the hypocrisy? The American people are voting out the establishment and the establishment is so blind they will try to go around the voting public for their own gain and not grant the nomination to the candidate that won.

Eff all these old establishment Republicans. They're the reason everyone's voting for Trump.

Not the only reason, the exit polls asked the question about how they feel about Government as a whole, trust, etc... 50% of Republicans said that they do not trust government, that isn't just a hate for the Republican establishment, that is a hate for Obama as well. 40% trusted the government...where as Democrats in the exit poll were above 80% I believe in their trust of the government, and I would venture to say that it was their trust in Obama, rather than a trust in the Democratic establishment, considering they also polled very high in wanting to continue the Obama policies.

It seems that Trump is made of the same Teflon that Obama was made of....BUT, add in some kind of "media proof" metal where Trump is concerned, that Obama really didn't need. It's crazy...

He's a celebrity. He's got built in history and he's made his brand so recognizable most people just automatically assume he's successful and smart. Once you dig into his business dealings, you learn that he's not the business man his brand makes him out to be. When anyone points this out, it's as if his supporters think they are just hating on him. The evidence is clear right? He's THE real estate tycoon. He must know what he's doing. Right? Other career politicians are just that. Career politicians. Trump's one of the handful of business owners that's made himself a celebrity over the years. He must be doing something right, right?

If his supporters were to ever look into his actual dealings, they may be shocked. He doesn't own many buildings and the ones that do have his name have leased his brand out, similar to how sports stadiums name themselves after a company. And that is his most valuable business.

I do find it fascinating that he dumbs himself down in debates and rallys as compared to sit down interviews he does.

That's thanks to years of Republicans telling their constituents that government is the problem, getting elected to office, and proving themselves right.

Oh Trump beating Hillary in the general election is a definite possibility. It's going to be very close, but the turnout on the Republican primaries right now because of Trump compared to the turnout on the Democrat's side is worrisome. I also think Hillary is going to struggle against Trump the same way that Jeb did. Jeb was confounded and couldn't figure out why people liked Trump or how to attack him. Hillary is going to have a similar problem. She's going to be a ton of baggage with her on the debate stage as well. The fact that she has such huuuuge issues with trustworthiness will be something that Trump targets. Any time she opens her mouth Trump is going to call her a liar even if she's telling the truth. I thought he'd be gone by now, I'm done underestimating Trump.
