I'm not trying to be argumentative I just think we throw these things around without really having a strong reasoning behind them. They just seem to be the words to throw around.... even though we may not know what exactly it is we are talking about when asked to give examples.

As of right now, she doesn't hold any office, and is therefore simply giving her opinion. We may not agree with the opinion, but I'm not sure if that says she is competent or not...just says she holds a different opinion.

Not to get off topic...but what did she do that was incompetent? Quitting a job two years early???

Palin is an idiot who thinks Iraq was behind 9/11 and can't keep the differences between North and South Korea straight. She can bloviate on death panel lies and "socialism" (if she knows what that word even means) and Christianity all she wants. But have zero tolerance for someone so ignorant, misinformed and disinterested in world affairs to have anything to say about foreign policy.

That is what I've been thinking as well. I definitely have mixed emotions about this. I would though like to find out who killed JFK.

I honestly would have the same f****** opinion if he leaked China or Russia's secrets. There's s*** you're not supposed put out there. Governments keep certain things quite for a reason dude.

Ah yeah thats quite an interesting story. Short version is:
1. A police officer charged Assange with rape/sexual harassment of a woman he met at a bar.
2. Victim of said rape then quite immediately withdrew her statement* completely.
3. It was found that NO evidence of said rape or sexual harassment existed. At all.
4. But, even so, the prosecutor has to this day not dropped the charges, but instead put out an international warrant.

*People argue if such a statement even exist.

Also, Assange asked if he was allowed to leave the country while investigation was being prepared and he was given an OK on that.

One can only speculate why they still are prosecuting him tho... no evidence or even a victim exist.

Again, there has never been shown that anyone have been hurt as a direct consequence of WL releasing anything.

Only the ones who have done something they know they shouldnt have, gets upset when they get found out.
 
I have no problem with the Leakers. I have a problem with the people responsible for not letting this sort of thing get out.

All the major nations (and probably even the non-major ones) have done things that they'd rather be kept confidential. That's why they have the intelligence agencies like CIA, MI6, etc.

This is why I get skeptical regarding things like the Kennedy conspiracy, aliens on the moon, the Roswell coverup, etc. The government can't keep their petty and snide comments about diplomats secret, yet we're supposed to believe that for the past 65-40 years they've kept alien life and Kennedy's second shooter a secret without a bit of legitiment evidence coming out?

You honestly think that if some of these people who corroborated with the United States wind up dead, there will be notes attached to the corpses that say:

'Thks wikileaks, Plz 2 b sending moar classfyed dokumentz!!!!111one'

That's the only way to show a 'direct consequence' of this kind of leak. How would you feel if you were one of those people? I'm sure that they aren't crapping their pants, currently.

If I were corrupt or if I had done somthing that could be looked upon as "not legal", and someone leaked something about what I had done. Yeah, I'd be scared ****less. And I'd try to make that one, who leaked and released the info seem like the bad guy so I would seem like "the victim".

If I knew I had worked within legal limits, and someone leaked what I had done, I wouldnt be scared or worried. Because, well... I hadnt done anything wrong... so... why should I be?

You made it sound like everything is black and white, when in the case of intelligence and counter-intelligence, everything has a shade of grey. Those Afghans who worked with the US and got leaked by WikiLeak is a perfect example.

No one helps the State more than Conspiracy Theorists. But creating these gigantic conspiracy theories we are inclined to believe that the government is significantly more efficient than it really is.
 
The forensics of the Kennedy assassination prove that there had to have been more than one shooter...but that is wayyy off topic.
 
I think he is the scariest of all the GOP contenders simply because his economic policy is the best.

You do realize that the Taliban , what's left of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and the anti American warlords are going to torture the s*** out of these people and their families before they kill them right ? But I forgot the USA is scum and so are the people that work with them.:whatever:
