TV Disney+

General Television
if its cheaper, then the money it costs now, then its ok.
but if the current pricing is with ads and the membership without ads is much more expensive, then Disney plus will suck in the future

Yeah similar to HBO Max and their ad supported plan. Something cheaper than the current pricing but leave the current plan as is.

There is a reason people pay extra money for streaming services and having no advertisements is one of the bigger ones.

It was only a matter of time that we go back to the age old method of the advertisement dollars. Streaming was supposed to be the future and be cheaper than cable but now we have 100 streaming services and it's forcing shows/movies to be spread out that its practically the same.

Still no trailer for Muppet Haunted Mansion or Just Beyond…

No where in the article did he say they would change the existing plan to ad supported. If anything, they would probably introduce a cheaper ad supported plan but leave the current plan alone.

Can add ads to this damn service, but still no Aladdin The Series.

Come on.

haha looks like great fun

I just wish they’d get bigger celebrities for things like this. I mean, The Muppet Movie had Orson Welles as well as Richard Pryor. Steve Martin as well as Elliot Gould. Circa 1979 that was nuts!

And of course the show would get everyone big at the time.

Since Henson’s death, all the celebrities are like TV actors who work for ABC lol

Stars are rarely a point of interest for me personally, just please for the love of god get John Stamos' creepy ass out of here. I'm really looking forward to this but I was disappointed to learn of his involvement.

Amy Adams and Jason Segel were pretty big celebrities when The Muppets came out in 2011, and I'd say more or less the same for Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey in Muppets Most Wanted. But yeah, besides them it's been mostly smaller stars in cameos. I miss the days when they'd have classic British actors in the lead pretending that their co-stars aren't Muppets.

Yeah, more the ones you’d never think to see act with the muppets are the funniest ones. As above Michael Caine. Or Orson Welles. Or hell, Peter Falk. The more straight the celebrity plays it with the muppet the funnier. When they mug it kind of ruins the joke.

Who wouldn’t love to see Leonardo DiCaprio flirt with Miss Piggy?

this looks unexpected dark (but awesome)

Trailers for Haunted Mansion and Just Beyond came two weeks prior to release: so I expect the trailer for Home Sweet Alone on 29th of October

The Muppets special was such a blast. So much better, than the Star Wars special. I‘ll probably watch this every Halloween now.
Looking forward to Just Beyond - hope it’s more like Benedict Society and less Mighty Ducks/High School Musical

My favorite Non Star Wars, Non MCU content on Disney +:

  1. Luca
  2. Muppets Haunted Mansion
  3. Soul
  4. The World According to Jeff Goldblum
