Yeah but I only pay for the ads version of Hulu. So anything on Hulu I can get on Disney+ instead is preferred. Plus I really want an animated show.
What's going on with Lizzie McGuire revival? They won't even air the Lizzie McQuire revival. Disney is going to clutch pearls over some of the Buffy storylines, especially the Buffy/Spike stuff.
Moving to Hulu probably. That's what Hillary Duff wants anyway. What's going on with Lizzie McGuire revival?
Ooo. That actually has me more intrigued. I guess sex is too taboo for Disney+.Moving to Hulu probably. That's what Hillary Duff wants anyway.
Got too sexual for Disney I think.
After the Splash debacle and blurring out cleavage, no way in hell would Disney+ even consider putting Buffy on there unless they decide to get a little more lenient with their content down the line. They won't even air the Lizzie McQuire revival. I didn’t realise Disney was going to be quite so strict on content. I kind of assumed they’d have an adults version as well as child-locked version.
So what's it gonna take to get a Buffy something on Disney+? An animated show would work. How about something like this?:
It's not like there's even scripts written and everything....
The content they seem to be most lenient towards is Marvel. Tony's scene with the reporter in Iron Man and the sex jokes in the GOTG movies remain unchanged. Even though they don't push the boundaries of PG-13, I'm curious as to why some of the Karens out there haven't complained about that kind of stuff being on Disney+.I didn’t realise Disney was going to be quite so strict on content. Still amazes me that everyone passed on the animated series and the property has been collecting dust on the small screen since then.
Yeah, it doesn’t sound to be too consistent. The content they seem to be most lenient towards is Marvel. I would agree 100% at most times, but I'll have to go higher now that:
A) Disney own the brand
B) Have launched their own streaming service with exclusive content
C) We're in the middle of a global pandemic that has shut the industry down
D) There's a full season of scripts already done
and
E) Animators and voice-artists can work from home.
I bet SMG would reprise the role now too. Buffy Summers is a Disney princess and I demand satisfaction!
Not everyone at home has access to the materials to do proper quality voice over though.
Oh yeah, but the original series was brought up.While I have serious doubts Disney would actually end up doing the Buffy animated series as they intended to well over a decade ago, it’s worth pointing out that the project was intended for Fox Kids and was essentially set during the show’s first season, before it got into the more mature material.
No Buffy and Spike ****ing the house down here.
l know people hate when I say this but Buffy belongs in the Marvel Universe. You could even bring Joss in to reboot the character in comics form. She's too popular not use to bolster the female roster. I would argue Buffy was more mainstream than Black Widow and Captain Marvel before the MCU, and these books/movies/shows need more females. The character has a built-in audience and yet you're still adding a new toy to the Marvel toy box. It's too good to pass up.
Why is Buffy even over at Boom? Who owns the character?

For their own good, they'd be better off starting from scratch and have it be a reboot of sorts. The game continuity got way too convoluted and confusing as the series went on.Hmm, I wonder if it'll be in continuation with the games or a reimagining of the franchise
I dont see why the studio wouldnt send over that equipment though. But even with voice over work, it is a lot easier to come into a studio solo and be behind a glass where there are 2 or 3 people who give direction and be at a safe distance.
