Disney+

I just finished Maleficent for the first time on here, and damn I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. It actually made me tear up, very good movie.

Tempted to start the second one now.

Do it. I am interested to see what you think of it. :yay:

The Olaf short isn't much, but it has a few moments that really made me smile. It still blows my mind that Josh Gad of all people can be that "adorable" to me. It's like Jack Black as Poe in Kung Fu Panda. :hehe:

I liked it too!! I didn’t think anyone could be more of a bastard than King Stefan, but Michelle Pfeiffer as that evil queen was everything. The wedding massacre with the Feys was coldblooded!

But again great movie. Love the chemistry between Angelina and Elle Fanning.

I tried watching the first during the last lockdown but kept falling asleep. Might give it another try during this lockdown.

So with delay of WandaVision...4 weeks of no interesting content between its release date and Mando‘s last episode.
If this continues that way, I‘ll change to monthly subscriptions.

Disney+ subscribers grew to over 73 million, as of October, from 60 million at Q3.

Cool.

I’m already doing the monthly subscription. I guess it’s cheaper to do the annual subscription in the long run.

It is. I wish I jumped on the 3 year when I had the chance.

Not shocking. Disney has a big catalog, Disney+ is comparatively cheap as entertainment goes, and we live in plague times where most traditional forms of entertainment are cut off.
Yeah, price is important, particularly during an economy-crushing pandemic. For me the size of catalogue isn’t as important as the rewatchability of what’s already there and what’s due to go on there. I’ll rewatch stuff like Stranger Things on Netflix but most of it is one and done for me.

On an individual level, yeah, but the bigger the catalog, the more likely that there will be something any given potential customer will find rewatchable. If the only thing your hypothetical service has is Leave It To Beaver, then the only long term audience you have is "Whatever chunk of the populace likes to regularly rewatch Leave It To Beaver".
