I think, if it does, that announcement isn't coming today.over/under Black Widow going to "premium access"
I mean with all of this other content coming, some even in 2021 I don't see why they should/would

Yeah, fall this year - no Disney+ announcement.Well they didn't announce Encanto as Disney+ exclusive, right? And that's supposed to be coming in 2021 as well.
I mean... A Star Wars project reimagining what Star Wars can be when far removed from the trappings of the Skywalker Saga?Agreed on all counts.
I never say this but it would make me so happy for JKR to pull a Lucas and sell HP off. They can’t without JKR...and at this point, probably shouldn’t with her - it’s a tough spot, lol.
I think they were aware something like this could be on the cards from the content providers eventually. Part of why they suddenly made the move to allocating a huge budget to creating their own content knowing the 3rd parties would eventually want their content back (or exerting stricter controls and asking for higher fees) and they would be left with not too much.WB and HBO Max never stood a chance, I wonder what Netflix is thinking right now.
Love Dug so much and damn now I want to really re-watch Up soon. Also, Puppies lol.
It's a mixed bag for me. What I wanted from Star Wars, frankly, was largely embodied by The Last Jedi. I would've probably traded all this stuff for Johnson's trilogy. This isn't a bad runner up option for me, it'll be like the MCU: a property I feel no emotional investment in (though I significantly prefer modern Star Wars to the MCU outside of Rise of Skywalker) so I can just sort of happily roll with narrowly fulfilling fan service and the occasional movie/series I do love. You know it's funny. When I first joined this site it was all "Gimme original ideas. Hollywood is outta ideas" and now everyone is basically saying "Gimme the same thing over and over and over. Sequels, spinoffs, all that"
EDIT: Since people are somehow getting the wrong idea. I personally don't care what a film is as long as it's good. I'm just making an observation that times have changed in what people claim they're clamoring for
